this or the one at Costco for same price now? looks like Costco is higher wattage but this had 2 extra cups? curious what 1400 watts vs 1100 watts mean in real world applications

A few years ago I bought the Ninja BL660. It's quite powerful. I can't remember exactly how much it was at Costco back then.
However, when blending smoothies, or drinks with ice, it does not blend as fine as I would like it to be, even if I run it on high speed for a minute.
Eventually I bought a refurbished Vitamix and returned the Ninja. The Vitamix was about twice as expensive, but I love it.
The Ninja has a safety locking lid and won't turn on until the lid and pitcher is properly locked on. This is good for safety if you have kids who might use the blender. The Vitamix does not; if you do not have younger kids around, I would prefer the Vitamix for having a simpler pitcher that has no safety mechanism to break or get food residue possibly stuck in.
But, I think for $80, this Ninja blender is a good deal. It was much better than most cheap blenders. The Vitamix is definitely a better blender, however, $80 and $350 is quite a difference so I would not invalidate this being a good choice.

The build quality for this is ass. You are likely to break the base the first time you forget to disengage the suction cups.
