This DeWALT 20V MAX brushless drill kit is a compact cordless setup that stands out for DIY and home projects, especially when paired with the included 2Ah battery and charger. The drill is described as the more versatile tool for drilling holes and driving screws with better control, while the impact driver brings extra power for stubborn fasteners and deck screws. The deal price appeared only after adding to cart, but the listing later climbed from $39 to $99, then $59, and many pickup orders were canceled as a corporate pricing error. A few orders did go through, so timing mattered here.
Common Questions (3)
The discounted price appears after adding the drill to cart and, in some cases, after a member discount applies. Several orders showed $119 or $179 on the product page but dropped to $39 in cart, while later checks showed the price rising to $99 or $59.
Some orders were confirmed and even marked ready for pickup before being canceled, and customer service reportedly would not honor the original $39 price after cancellation. A few pickup orders did go through, so fulfillment appears inconsistent.
The drill is the more versatile choice if you only want one tool, especially for drilling holes and more controlled screw driving. The impact driver is better for driving screws with more power and less cam-out, but it cannot drill holes.

while the drill driver could be used for both, constantly switching between drill bit and Phillips or torx bit to drive in the screw slows down the project and increases chance of dropping the bits on the ground or misplacing the bits. Hence why you want both.
The impact driver is less susceptible to cam out on Phillips because of the impact action. The impact has over twice the power for removing stubborn screws. But… the impact can't drill holes. So you need both.
