EDIT: This deal has been hit hard and there are stock issues on the 10" (and the 7-1/4" as well). The deal is scheduled to run till January so just keep watch out there and set a stock notification on the Lowe's website. Good luck!

Right now Lowe's is running their on going buy Bosch batteries and get free tools with a deal I've not seen before. Usually the "free gift" tool is bland like a drill or angle grinder. With some regularity they'll offer the Profactor 7-1/4 battery miter saw. But right now they are offering the 10" battery miter saw.

Personally I did a pack of the batteries a few weeks ago and got the 7-1/4 and love it. It's got some nice feature, and an 8AH battery (not included but one that I had) lasts forever with it. But I would have preferred this deal but it wasn't offered at the time --- Bosch or Lowe's decided to add it to the deal midstream which I've not seen before. So I bought another pack of batteries and got a 10" big brother for my smaller one and will just marketplace all the extra batteries to get the saws free (since I have tons of Bosch batteries already)

Bosch's 18 volt battery kit deal is really a way to land the 10 inch dual bevel sliding miter saw, and the saw itself is the standout for cut capacity, left and right beveling, and solid performance on 4 amp hour batteries. The community also notes it can be a major upgrade, with clean cuts and enough power for regular shop use. The catch is inventory, since the saw often disappears by zip code, store, or checkout flow, and shipping can add steep fees or fail entirely. A practical pick if you can catch stock and navigate the cart quirks.

  • Finish carpenters needing a dual-bevel saw for wider angle cuts, because it swings left and right and handles extreme bevels.

  • DIYers who can work from a garage or shop, because the saw is heavy and bulky compared with smaller 7-1/4-inch models.

  • Shoppers willing to hunt inventory across stores, because the saw can be found by changing ZIP codes, checking pickup, or asking associates to search nearby stock.

  • Cordless-tool owners already using other battery lines, because adapters can run the saw from compatible packs.

  • Buyers who want a straightforward online checkout, because the free-tool selection can disappear, block pickup or shipping, or require repeated cart changes.

  • People who need immediate local availability, because stock can be out across wide areas and may require long drives or repeated refreshing.

  • Mobile trim crews needing a lightweight saw, because the 10-inch model is much heavier than the 7-1/4-inch version.

  • Shoppers who need a compact saw for a small workbench, because the 10-inch model is too large to fit on a 24-inch bench.

Hey there, how do you get around with the shipping? The system does not allow me to switch even until I change my address at checkout payment page
Basically what stronglamar 420 said. It showed that out of stock banner for me but I kept looking for stores that might have it. It took a while and few glitches but somehow it worked out.

For mobility the 7 1/4" weighs 26 pounds and longer lasting battery. The 10" weighs 40 pounds.

Wish they would go ahead and standardize battery interface. It's getting ridiculous to have to marry into these different companies or have a workspace full of different chargers
There are adapters you can find online. The only thing is that they have to match voltages. 20v-20v. 18-18...

Found 1 somewhat local and made the order. Lowe's is pretty good on getting items ready quick but nothing for a couple days. Saw a message saying "we're experiencing a delay in getting your item ready" and I thought it was over...never trust a 1 inventory count I said to myself. Well, the SD gods are smiling upon me as last night it went to ready for pickup. I went this morning and grabbed it - the pullers couldn't lift it which was the delay. They had to wait for someone rated to lift the item. So when they couldn't put it in my cart, I gladly offered my help.

I got the 7 ¼ last year on a deal that was more expensive- this 10" is a steal if you can find it.

Anyone test the 10 inch saw with the 4ah batteries? I'm wondering if it is going to bog down and the 8ah is going to make a night and day difference.

I lucked out in Northern VA. Got one for an in store pick up and was worried that it won't come through so I kept playing with the site and different locations and then somehow I was able to switch it to shipping and was able to order another one. Long story short I picked mine up then the next day I received notification that the saw and batteries are shipped from my online order.

I really don't need the second pair and don't care for making extra money on marketplace. So if you are in NoVA and want one, I'll sell it you at what I paid for it. Should get here Sunday.
If this is still up for grabs, I'm in NoVA and will gladly take you up on your gracious offer!

Works like a champ to be honest. I've been running the 7-1/4, the table saw and the 10" on my 4AH more than not just because I have more of them.

Comparing the two, 10" has obviously more cut capacity due to the bigger blade. It's also able to cut 53 degrees left and 60 degrees right. I honestly don't remember if 7 1/4 is single bevel but the 10" is dual.

7 is single. What does single/double mean?

Pro Tip: Figure out how far you're willing to drive and just ask the chat reps if they see one with XX miles of your zip. This was showing as sold out for me, essentially throughout the entire state of NC. I put in zip codes all across the state and came up empty. But when I asked the rep, they found 1 at a store 15 minutes away! I went skeptical, thinking it would be a mistake or a display, but it was there, brand new in box, sitting up on top stock! The in-store promotional materials/posters only show the 7" single bevel miter as an option, so unless you go into a store looking for it, an average customer would never know the 10" dual bevel is part of the deal.
This worked for me, guy in charge of the tools section kept saying the 10" isn't part of the deal but I told him I want it anyways, took him a few mins to grab it from the very top shelf. Ended up scanning the battery kit, angle grinder and 10" saw at checkout because I wasn't sure it'll work. They scanned the battery and grinder first which discounted both, then the saw showed full price. I told the cashier to delete the grinder, then discount automatically applied to the saw. Guy was incredulous, said "let me double-check this" and re-scanned the combo 3 more times Big Grin.. think he's planning to get the last saw for himself.

Was the table saw part of a similar deal? This'll be a huge up-grade over my current Ridgid 7 1/2" sliding miter, thanks for sharing!.

Whether the blade can tilt to the left or right. My former 10" was a single bevel meaning that it would only tilt up to 45 degrees to right. This one can go to the left or the right. (By default it's to the right, but you pull a knob out to unlock the swing to the left. The knob is there so there is a positive zero stop it seems, which makes sense).

I wish the table saw had been....but no. Now I did get lucky on that deal a bit. Lowe's was doing their pro-days and the Bosch rep was onsite. Basically he said "Spend 400 and I'll get you a free 8AH battery". So the table saw was like 430 without the battery. But Lowes was OOS through the network on it. So I worked a deal with the store manager to get the table saw + battery + charger kit down to 500 and then I still got the extra 8AH on top, so I was good with that. I'm 100% behind that saw too to be honest --- it's handled everything I've run on it, and is smooth with good battery life. The charger that came with it takes the 8AH 0 to 100 in like 25 or 30 minutes as well, but I've got so many batteries I don't notice the times much. It works on 4AH just as well as 8 from what I've seen so far.

It's less than 50 lbs, but can be lifted only by someone RATED?
