Right now Lowe's is running their on going buy Bosch batteries and get free tools with a deal I've not seen before. Usually the "free gift" tool is bland like a drill or angle grinder. With some regularity they'll offer the Profactor 7-1/4 battery miter saw. But right now they are offering the 10" battery miter saw.
Personally I did a pack of the batteries a few weeks ago and got the 7-1/4 and love it. It's got some nice feature, and an 8AH battery (not included but one that I had) lasts forever with it. But I would have preferred this deal but it wasn't offered at the time --- Bosch or Lowe's decided to add it to the deal midstream which I've not seen before. So I bought another pack of batteries and got a 10" big brother for my smaller one and will just marketplace all the extra batteries to get the saws free (since I have tons of Bosch batteries already)

FWIW, I didn't see a bare tool 10" anywhere near me. I opted for the 7.25" as I have a flooring job coming up that the smaller saw will be nice; plus I'm hoping to fit this with a steel/metal cutting blade to use for small welding projects as well.
Hopefully the store will hold their last saw for me and it's not a phantom inventory saw.
If it gets cancelled it gets cancelled, but it seems like it was worth a try
