Tisk tisk. They don't allow you to purchase with a 30 day trial. Only PAID W+.

just FYI but the battery life jump from S10 to S11 isn't as significant as apple's numbers on specs compare page may lead you to believe

42mm S10 has a 290mAh battery and 46mm S10 has a 327mAh battery
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uomjqt2qaE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jicDkJ8xzkU
46mm S11 has a 363mAh battery (haven't been able to find a teardown for the 42mm S11 yet, but based on their phrasing in the release event it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume 42mm S11 got a similar 10% bump like the 46mm)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNTB-KeEubY

the physical battery capacity did increase a decent amount (nearly 10%!), but the "all-day" battery life the S11 claims is also due in part to Apple tweaking how they test battery runtime of one full discharge cycle. you can see a more detailed description below:

https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleWat...r_battery/

anecdotally, I've noticed effectively 0 functional battery runtime difference on my personal 46mm S10 and friends with S11s. both will last a full day with probably ~30ish% charge left with AOD on, 2-3 hours of combined cardio and traditional strength training workout tracking

if battery life is important to you, I recommend getting an Ultra or you can disable loud volume notifications, handwashing detection, background app refresh, AOD, and some other features

tldr; S11 battery improvement looks generational on paper, but is really an incremental-at-best improvement irl conditions and usage

Walmart+ is $49/year and includes Paramount+ or Peacock plus free shipping frequently much faster than Amazon, especially if you don't live in a metro area with an Amazon warehouse. (Some things are delivery only which then involves minimums and tips). I was skeptical but it has actually been useful and never more than $49 with one promotion or another. Plus you don't actually need to enter a Walmart store. That is the best part.

S11 has 5G compared to S10 LTE. If future proofing for next couple of years is important for you, S11 is way to go. I got a used one for around $400 (46mm GPS+ Cellular) including taxes and shipping, which still has apple care left for few weeks along with apple warranty intact for ~1yr. 42mm might come for even less, if you wait for all those returns. If you want to have the 5G and future proofing, S11!
5G is not essential for smart-watches, I am sure that LTE/4G is actually sufficient

"RedCap" 5G is not the same as 5G and possibly only gives the advantage of more efficient battery use.

Off-topic but tons of knowledgable people here: If you were getting one of these for a kid who doesnt yet have cellular - is it better to just go to the Verizon store and get a deal on the new watch or get one of these from walmart and opt for some different kind of deal?

Confused b/w this vs se 2nd gen at 189$. Any thoughts? I'm buying this for kid, so battery life and lte are the only important for me.

Unless you're on TMO, their LTE coverage is crap to begin with and they are slowly retiring their LTE network for 5G. I ended up switch to a verizon plan, and I don't lose signal on my watch most of the time anymore.

Is the going price for a real Apple sport band about $15? Apple charges $49 but there are lots of new bands on EBay, Woot, etc for about $15. Seems like a huge price difference.

There are typically more S/M watches on sale but I use M/L.
