Apple Watch Series 10 GPS plus Cellular at this price stands out for adding cellular and the full Apple warranty, with extra time to add AppleCare. The cellular feature is useful for calls and emergency access when away from the phone, Bluetooth, or Wi Fi. The sport loop gets praise for being far more comfortable than the sport band, and generic replacement bands can broaden color options cheaply. The main caveat is inventory, since the 46 millimeter listing appears to have sold through and return timing may matter if a better price appears later.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. Cellular lets the watch make calls and even reach 911 when it is out of Bluetooth range and not on Wi‑Fi, so it can still be useful for a child, grandparent, or anyone who may be away from their phone.

  • Buying new gives full warranty and more time to add AppleCare later. That makes it preferable to an open-box unit if you want the standard Apple coverage window.

    Thangsanityjaewchoi

  • Yes. The return window mentioned runs until 1/31/26, so it can be bought now and returned later if a better price shows up.

    satchameleonxl

  • The item number is 1778335, and it was marked down to $279.97. The 46mm version was reported sold out at one point, with only the 42mm left later at $249.

    fiveighteenDealzRGood4U

  • The sport loop is described as much more comfortable than the sport band, and generic replacement loop bands can be bought on Amazon for under $20 if you want more color options.

42mm from Walmart for $249 or Costco for $279?
Where are you seeing that price at Costco?

Ah - was it marked at that price in store? Wondering if I should have a look at my local Costco.

Correct, it's Item 1778335 and was marked down to $279.97. I walked by again yesterday and they were gone with no sign anymore so was prob a clear remaining inventory situation (bought on the 4th in Orange County CA)

Should I return the Amazon Open Box deal the other day for $235 and buy this new instead.
I am keeping mine from Amazon Open Box. Just got it today and it's scratch free with warranty until July 2026. I have zero need for cellular.

Even if you don't need Cellular, I think it's nice to have for resale value as well. Just a thought.

Also one advantage of cellular is if you're out of Bluetooth range from your phone and not on WiFi, you (or your child or grandparent or whoever you give this to in future) can still call 911 even without a cellular plan

How many times can you return unopened Apple products to Walmart before you run into an issue? Walmart won't credit a price reduction on a recent purchase. Their policy is repurchase and return to original purchase.
I saw many reddit posts.
In most cases return violation will be flagged by sytem once your returns reach 40% worth of your total online shopping from last 1 year regardless of the reason. Especially for Walmart
