Electric heaters, for the heat output part, are pretty much the same. Wattage in = roughly the same heat output.

After that its features like osculating, thermostat, color, etc... preference.

Get one with a thermostat and also lower power setting. If you run one at 1500 watts it, plus other items on the circuit, may be to much and pop the breaker. So set at a lower wattage/power setting and adjust the thermostat as needed.

This or the Black & Decker at Target for $21. Oscillating for $1 more, but which one will last longer. B&D low heat is 750W, this one is 1000W.

Facts 👍 my family keeps a space heater in each bathroom. If the hall and master bedroom bathroom are both on at 1500w each, the breaker goes every time. Setting them on low takes care of the problem.

I especially like our Dreo heater. Thermostat, 3 heat settings. Seems pretty efficient as far as these heaters go. I tested setting 1 to use 900 watts. It really heats up the bathroom. I bought a second one as a backup. When they were on sale at amazon for $15.

I live in old house. So my house doesn't have furnace. Only have central air, but this summer it doesn't blow cool air anymore. In winter, we used space heater in every room. Total we have 5 space heaters right now. Each space heater draw 1500 watts, but heat output is not good. In winter, my house is never heat up to 75 degree. So in July this year, I decide to install MINI SPLIT AC WITH HEAT PUMP. I installed myself 18k BTU mini split in my living room and kitchen join together. Few days ago, outside get down to 40 degree. I turn on mini split heat first time and heat my room up to 86 degree. It heat my living room, kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedroom for only 1 mini split 18k BTU. And this 18k BTU mini split only draw 1200 watt on high and heat up to 1000 square feet. From July to Nov, we have 5 electric bills already, and it save us over $500 electric bill compare to last year.

If you could install mini split ac with heat pump, install one. It will save you a lot money with electric bills and heating extreme good. Don't use space heater. It is cheap, but take a lot electric and no effective.

I constantly see people complaining that theirs broke after a month (not this one). I just don't want a dud either, I know decent ones exist as I have friends who have had theirs for years but theirs are discontinued as far as I know. Really appreciate the tip about the wattage.

Thank you for the information. Do you happen to have a link to the mini split you purchased? The central A/C with heat pump at the house I'm renting has a bad freon leak and is old so will need to be replaced but the landlord won't replace it. We had to get window air conditioners for the summer and now we are using a couple of space heaters and they aren't heating good at all. It got down to 28° with wind-chill of 23° the other night and the space heater didn't warm the living room above 57°.

Funny, I just saw a Project Farm video on space heaters. Dreo was best and didn't spoke the power when put on high.

Yeah, I know. I was using space heater in my house for over decades. So I know exactly like your experiences. I bought mine on Yitahome.com website. Yitahome products are also sale on Amazon and Ebay. But on Amazon and Ebay, you got to pay taxes. I bought the 18K BTU mini split AC in summer this year only $469. Because I was lucky get a SPIN WHEEL land on 30% discount. So I bought one. You see my receipt in attachment. Today, they don't discount up to 30% on the wheel spin anymore. The most is 25% discount, if you lucky land on it. 2 days ago, they email 25% discount code, but it just expired yesterday. Today, they email me 20% discount code. I put it on here if you want to use it. Right now, 18K BTU sale $700. If 20% discount, you pay $560. But BLACK FRIDAY in 1 more week, I think it will discount even more. If you want to wait.

20% discount code: BFCM20

PS: On yitahome webiste said buy 2 or more, get 10% extra discount

I checked on Home Depot for other brand like Pioneer and DuctlessAire cost 2x time Yitahome. I put HD links below.

these things are such a danger unless it's on a dedicated 15A or shared 20A

they violate code if you run them longer than 3 hours at 1500W
