The certificate is a small Best Buy promo that can work well for cheap add ons, batteries, USB drives, toys, or a ring sizing kit, and it can sometimes bring an order down to just a few dollars with free shipping. It also appears in email or the app, sometimes in a secondary account, and the barcode may be easier to use than the account view. The main snag is that orders can be canceled when the subtotal is too low or payment verification fails, which can make the certificate disappear unless support restores it. A handy but finicky little credit if you can find something priced right.

My last few ring kits got canceled and my certificates were automatically credited as points to my reward account. It's listed in my rewards history as "Returned Certificate Point Adjustment."
I like it this way because now I don't have to worry about throwing away the kit!
I can confirm, I did indeed receive my points back to my banked account after a couple days. Thanks for the heads up!

This ended up being better than the ring kit, because I received my points back to the bank, and also got a $10 refund with my next order because support has it referenced in a case number I can provide in the future.

Any other ideas to spend the $10? Batteries? Done the ring kit in the past.
I always picked up Hotwheels cars for my son in the past. I used the cars as rewards when he did a good job listening, being kind, etc. There are tons of Christmas gift options at Best Buy since they have much more than just tech stuff.

One year I picked up one of those 5" squishmallows. Not sure what I'd want this time
With prices so high these certificates are becoming useless.

I got the offer and ordered my usual ring sizing kit + GC and it was immediately canceled. Will the certificate be reissued?
Same here, it worked in the past and never had a problem but this time my order was cancelled about a minute after placing it with the email saying this: We cancelled your order.
There was a problem verifying your information so your order was cancelled.

For more info about your order, visit your order details page.
I contacted support and they said I'd get a new one in the future.

If buying ring sizing kit, add a usb cable or something cheap to your order otherwise your order will be canceled and you lose the rewards certificate
can you provide a link? Can anyone confirm this is working?

Thank you so much for your time. I see that your order was cancelled because the system could not verify the payment details, as you only used the reward certificate for the purchase. If you place a new order using a different payment method, your order will be processed without any issues.

I get your point, but it seems the automated system has canceled the order. If you place a new order using a different payment method, we'll help you with the refund of $10 back to the original mode of payment for you.

I used ONLY the cert for exactly $10 order. No issues, picked up already.
