Yes, code will take a certain Amount of $$$ on most other receivers, 3800, 4800, 6800, etc however as far as very good pricing the 6800 is a good price..

Not that I have heard.. Not at this time and they wouldn't do it before 2027 anyways as this became available to buy in 2024. I don't see them replacing this for a long time as there is no real new tech, etc.. It got down to this price for a few days last holiday season so it's just a "sale" price nothing more. There msrp's are a pure JOKE!

Also works on the X1800. Takes it from $849 to $595.

Denon was sold to Harman about a month ago. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just the start of them clearing stock and eventually discontinuing many of these receivers.

There not discontinuing any of this line as this is a valuable brand for Harman, it's just the usual holiday sale as it was this price last year for a few days only at a handful of retailers like Amazon. This deal is better as you can get 5% CB as well if you look around.

Was waiting on something like this to upgrade my 4300... guess I'll bite. Any suggestions on lightweight & slim ceiling speakers that I can mount to ceiling directly above the main listening area?

Do you work for Harman or have any inside information, or are you just speculating, as I was?

How much do you want to spend and what are you using them for? Your going in-ceiling right? From that I can give you suggestions based on your use case.

I probably should do in-ceiling and hire someone to install and run the wires... but would also consider something not in-ceiling. I was thinking $200 or less per speaker... maybe something like the Klipsch CDT-5650-C II In-Ceiling Speaker - White (Each), currently $140 each on Amazon.
I want these to be 'God speakers'.

I know the industry and have connections at a high end A/V dealer. They would be the first to know. This was a great acquisition by Harman, straight up. They only thing I heard it they might consolidate some of the brands as there is a bunch of overlap but Denon is a highly main stream brand so I can't see them doing much with that one. Of course, only the execs know... lol

But what exactly are they going to be used for? stand alone music, only surround use like for D atmos, etc,..the use case matters... and 100% YES< do it right once and run the wires or pay someone as you will not regret it, night and day difference. I did the same thing in my family room.. once done, wow.... just a whole new experience as far as Dolby atmos goes...

Thanks. This would be for surround sound for movies.
