But I'll point out that these are weatherproof only when closed. This isn't a While In Use cover where you can have something plugged in and be WP. Those are superior and code required for wet locations. This is ok for like patios and covered areas. But I prefer WIU everywhere.
Finding a nice looking metal one is a bit of a challenge though.

Finding a nice looking metal one is a bit of a challenge though.
"Receptacles in damp locations (under protective covers, such as a porch roof) must be weather-resistant and have a weatherproof (weathertight) cover.
Receptacles in wet locations (exposed to weather) must be weather-resistant and have a weatherproof "in-use" cover. This cover provides sealed weather protection even when cords are plugged into the receptacle.
This outlet cover does not meet this requirement for an exterior wall unless it's under a covered porch/patio.
Company's open themselves up to torts and law suits with this erroneous muck. Should be water resistant.
I have one of these covers and they are pretty nice. I need to replace an older cover that broke so looking for another one of these.
