I'm tired boss. I'm tired of fixing Sony's bullshit controller problem.
Community Reviews
The DualSense Edge stands out as a premium PS5 controller for players who want back paddles, hair triggers, and easy stick module swaps. The shape feels comfortable and sturdy, and the modular sticks are a real hedge against drift, with replacement modules available when wear shows up. Battery life is the biggest drawback, often described as very short, and the trigger feel does not impress everyone. It is most compelling for shooter play or for anyone who values the extra controls and repairability.
Players who want replaceable stick modules, because drift can be handled by swapping the sticks instead of replacing the whole controller.
Shooter players who want back paddles and hair triggers, because the controller feels worth it for fast-paced FPS play.
Gamers who value a premium-feeling controller with haptics and back buttons, because the shape and feedback make play feel more refined.
Console competitors who need modular controls for tournament play, because the small advantage can matter when every input counts.
Players who need long unplugged sessions, because the battery life is very short and can be around three hours.
Casual players expecting a big upgrade over a standard controller, because the improvement may not justify the high price for everyday use.
Players who want especially quick or clicky triggers, because the triggers can feel slow and not good enough in hair mode.
Players who need two pairs of back buttons, because it only has one pair and that can be limiting.

It's a modular design with less battery life than the standard controller.
It also has durability issues like the rubber grip falling apart over time.

Overall, would not say its worth it, unless you foresee yourself needing the back button functionalities in particular. However, it could save you money in the long run as well due to having to only replace the sticks vs replacing the entire controller when wear inevitably hits the sticks.

With the PS5 controllers, it's a PITA to switch out the factory joystick because there's a chance you might F up the calibration after the switch. SMH
