it has a Geekbench 6 score of 474 / 1093. That's pretty good for the year 2009 and not bad for 2011, but I'd definitely replace it by 2016.

Over here in the year 2025 a raspberry pi is twice as fast.

thanks, all the scoring sites look like greek to me, but now that you told me about this geekbench 6 score... what is the min geekbench 6 score we should look for in a snappy SD worthly cheap laptop?

Personally I wouldn't consider anything with a Geekbench 6 score lower than 1000 single / 4000 multi for productivity tasks. I would consider CPUs lower than this as "junk" tier … this is where you get into CPUs which are typically 4+ years old and were bottom tier even when they debuted … stuff less powerful than today's low end cell phones. When considering hardware like this you're typically much better off just buying a used machine because even a decade old machine is likely drastically more powerful.

Less memory 64 GB nut much cheaper:

I doubt that CPU is not enough for Chrome. The Celerons I bought were fast enough for most things but 4GB DDR was not enough this has 8GB.
