Looks like they would be good tablets for the price, but the Tab S10 Lite 128 GB with a better screen, processor, more RAM and even a bigger battery is on sale for $90 more at $249 which also comes with the S-Pen. Wouldn't that be a more future proof investment?

Don't get fooled by the reviews.
This is very slow and outdated.
4/64 makes it worse too.
Flashing Lineage OS makes it tolerable a little bit but thats about it.

I have two of these for my kids and they play a ton of games. This is an excellent tablet for this price.

I would like a smaller 8" tablet. The only Samsung model is A9, which is not officially sold in US.

Lenovo has 8.8" Snapdragon 8, 12GB ram but it's like $400 on sale.

I have this tablet and I got it over a year ago for about $110, now they are $130. I got it through ebay. It's a great tablet for what I want to do (reading light novels, emulation, watching youtube). It is very light and portable. Don't expect performance like an ipad or tablets costing two or three times more, but it does everything well enough at a very reasonable price and I think the perfect size.

This model is way too old. I would suggest s10 lite or s10fe. If you get from Samsung there's $100 robot code for free

The model that needs to be avoided is the 2020 model ((SM-P610/SM-P615), it had slow downs and screen issues, most complaints about the S6 Lite are for that year. The improved models are from 2022 (SM-P613/SM-P619) and 2024 (SM-P620/SM-P625) - don't really know what they made so many yearly versions of this tablet.

I've had the 2020 and it was horrible after 2 years, the 2022 is still going strong.

Samsung Tab S6 Lite (4GB RAM) is good for ebooks, emails, news, and YouTube. If you are on a budget, please also consider the Lenovo or Amazon Fire tablet to save more money.

* I had the 2022 S6 Lite, but I traded it for the 2023 S9 FE+. Although I liked the S6's light weight, it is slow for gaming and multitasking. Its limiting factor was 4GB RAM.

* The 2024 S6 Lite upgraded the CPU/GPU, but it kept the 4GB RAM. Therefore, I predict it will feel even slower, because the newer Android OS will need even more RAM.

* If you like to spend a little more money for a much better tablet, please consider the S9 FE (6 or 8 GB), S10 Lite (6 or 8 GB), or iPad Gen11 (6GB RAM & A16 CPU/GPU).

Yes. IF it was the LTE phablet (native calling)...maybe. I have an old Android 11 generic phablet- with dual sim to boot- that I'm trying to upgrade without spending a thousand.

I bought a Galaxy Tab S6 8gb ram 256gb storage for $170 from eBay. It has an AMOLED display and I use it mainly for manga/comics/books. It's several years old, but if the software gets iffy you can just flash lineage OS to it. It's far better to get older flagship models than current gen bottom of the barrel. Yes it doesn't get support but to me it's worth it
