I have a 100 dollar gift card at apple I wonder if they will lower the price for BF. I still have to go to an apple store and check out the watch this is my first apple watch not sure if I should get the 42 or the 46
I have a Series 10. Debating if it is worth upgrading to Series 11 for Hypertension notifications (don't have blood pressure issue though). Any thoughts? Also, I must buy from Apple as I get 20% of on their gift cards. Hopefully Apple will price match. Any thoughts?
Your series 10 does hypertension alerts, have to enable it in health app
Glad to see price coming down already.. interested to see how much 46mm will come down to during Black Friday
Last year it looked like the series 10 dropped by $50 before Black Friday and then $70 for Black Friday / Cyber Monday. I'm imagining it will be similar but jumped on this. Could always swap / price match later I guess.
Does it worth to try this if I'm coming from Garmin FR265?
I own Garmin instinct 3 amoled and Apple devices are not the same...Apple is tied to its own eco system and more geared for multi device integration like ear pods, iPhone etc. It's more of an extension of your iPhone.
If u only care for fitness data, basic phone integration, Garmin, with its long battery life, runs circles around iWatch. I'm only interested in this deal cos my wife is a Apple junkie and her iwatch is over 3 years old.
My major beef with iWatch is literally 24 hours battery life. My instinct goes on for 2 weeks with heavy usage inc sleep data enabled and I'm a runner here (clock around 5 miles daily). Plus Garmin's GPS and map integration is better than Apple. I just returned from a 10 day trip to Jamica (before the hurricane). Wore my Instinct 3 to the trip .....did some runs by the ocean as well, wore it daily inc phone notifications and came back home and battery was still around 20% left. The solar variants of Garmins watches do even more for battery life.
Personally, only get this if u are tied into the Apple eco system. For everything else, Garmin devices are rock solid and u are not slaved to a power outlet at the end of each day. I've owned Fenix line as well.

ok. I called BestBuy sales and they PM'ed with no fuss. Emailed me a invoice with the adjusted price and I checked out using my BB card (I usually use their gracious one yr no interest financing for such purchases).
Looks like it's being sent from a nearby store as delivery is tomorrow.
What feature on the Series 11 is worth losing cellular and paying an extra $100?
Nothing. Only reason I would get a smart watch is to have cellular function, I can leave my phone at home and just use my watch for activities like jogging and hiking. I don't understand the concept of carrying a phone and watch at same time.

You don't need watch 11 for the the hypertension notification. Just download the latest update 26 on your watch 10 and you can enable it.
