Don't buy a used Apple Pencil. The battery is non-replaceable. Once the battery goes dead or something wrong with it, it's into the dumpster.
I highly recommend buying new. The item may look new but you're rolling a dice as far as longevity. The worst part is you don't know how long the pencil will last. Apple recommends at least once a month to pair and charge the pencil because if you leave it dead too long, the pencil is toast.

it is $29 if you have applecare with the ipad. Just add applecare one within 4 years of purchase.

I had one, and really liked it a lot when I used it (which wasn't very often), then it got lost. I don't think I can justify even this price given how little I used mine.

Apple Pencil pro to be used on iPad Pro. If you decide to save on trees, and have the convenience of taking your organized notes with you, it's the only way to keep your notes for semantics.

It state very clearly that the cost is $29 w/o applecare and $0 with apple care. It all comes down to if it is normal wear and tear. 1 year <80% battery life then $29, 5 years old and 70% battery life, well then you're out of luck and go buy a new one.

If you are past 1 year and outside warranty period it's likely $79.... not worth it... but worth checking in w/genius bar I have seen them do it as a courtesy sometimes.

The Apple Pencil Pro have pressure sensitivity, tilt and squeeze for shortcuts. The regular Apple Pencil USB-C, does not have any of these features. It is merely a stylus that acts like your finger but with a fine pointer. Similar to those cheap capactive stylus with the big round rubber nibs.

Bought one. Hope they work great and not have a swapped out one like someone else mentioned here..

long time cheap Amazon pencil user and have no problem with them. Just thought the price is right and I'm ready to upgrade.
