The standard for canned beans is 15 oz and is what recipes that call for them use.
How this is a deal when Whole Foods skimps out with 13.4 oz is beyond me. These are essentially 12% more expensive than comparable offerings from other stores at the same price point.
Goya organic black beans (and chickpeas) used to be $7.99 for an 8-pack at Costco. It just went up to $8.99 in the past couple of weeks.
Also, no salt added is a non-starter since canned beans are already cooked. You can brine cooked beans to do this but that kind of defeats the purpose of what is supposed to be a convenience product.
