Yes, it's far too firm. My legs would tingle and fall asleep. The idea of the hole in the back for coccyx pain relief is nice and that's why I purchased it, but in reality ymmv since we aren't all shaped the same. I'm average size and weight and this just made everything else feel worse, defeating the purpose.

These are all trash. Even the "memory foam" ones sold at amazon are not really MF.....these are el-cheapo products all made in the same chinese factory but sold under different brand names.

Just invest in a better computer chair. I've gone thru like 3 of these from amazon and they are all trash..ended up going to my local Staples store and buying a display model Sera computer chair which had thick padding.

I'm in the same boat, I bought one thinking it would make my chair more comfortable and it was just awful. I returned it as well. I am above average size and shape and it made things worse. I actually tried two different ones before giving up and just going with a regular pad for the little extra padding on the tall chair I use with my rolling desk. For my other desk, just buying a beefy office chair was the way to go.

Getting a better chair is always a good idea. But personally these (not this model, i have older ones and very firm) make a huge difference in long car rides and even long plane rides if you have a back problem. You need to aim for spreading your weight under your thighs while keeping right posture and the rrst of yourweight on your feet touching the floor or a foor rest. This way your weight is not pressuring your lumbar and coccyx. And these things if used correctly does that. But office chairs and cars need t9 be adjusted accordingly because you're lifted up on them. Also always Hips above knees or at least slightly, and folow other good posture tips.

Can't comment on the seats in this post specifically, but I'm sitting on one of these right now:

Guys at work seem split on which they like better. Both types were around $15.

But both are soooooo much better than sitting on a hard metal folding chair alone all day.

If your only option is a crappy hard chair, I'm sure this will be markedly better than just the chair. If not, the ones I linked have worked well for us for the past 3 months.
