Milwaukee's M12 Fuel oscillating multi tool stands out for tool free blade changes, a premium feel, and stronger performance with less vibration than the non Fuel version. The compact M12 size is handy for tight spaces and under cabinets, and the LED light adds usefulness in some jobs. The kit is also helped by the two 5 amp hour batteries. The main caveat is that the exact battery configuration matters, and the Fuel upgrade alone may not justify the jump for every use case.
DIYers who swap blades often, because the tool-free blade change removes the need for a separate wrench or coin.
Shoppers wanting a lighter oscillating tool with strong output, because the M12 feels premium, has less vibration, and delivers nearly M18-level power.
The FUEL version adds more power, less vibration, and a more premium feel, while the non-FUEL model is described as older and much rougher on the hands. For frequent use or vibration-sensitive tasks, the upgrade is the better choice; buying FUEL just for the badge is not enough on its own.
Yes, it uses a tool-less blade release with a top lever and center pin, so you can swap blades without a separate wrench. The pin should not be overtightened, or you may need a penny or flat screwdriver to loosen it later.
The M18 FUEL is heavier but has less vibration and cleaner undercuts because of its higher top RPM. The M12 FUEL is smaller and lighter, which helps in tight spaces like under cabinets.
Yes, the kit is described as coming with 2x 5.0Ah batteries, which is a big part of the value at $189. That battery configuration is what makes the deal look worthwhile compared with smaller-capacity packs.
A separate Hack Attack deal for the same M12 FUEL kit was posted at $130, which is lower than this $189 offer. If that promotion is still available, it is the cheaper option.
If more power but less vibration matters to you then yes. It feels like a "premium" build compared to regular for sure. It also has LED light that helps in some cases as well.
Interesting, since I have the regular 'Non Fuel' model. The vibration is hard on my peripheral Neuropathy & chronic Osteoarthritis! Hoped the lighter weight compared to my Dewalt XR 20V would be an advantage, but not so! This milwaukee gathers dust... Can't say anything about the true FUEL version.
But my Dewalt is a frequent problem solver & used every week for various tasks. YMMV

My experience was the exact same. The non fuel version vibrated to the point of hurting my hands, and it had poor power even for its size.
Should I get this or wait for m18 fuel discount? how come I am not seeing the discount?
A lot of folks prefer the m12, myself included. it's smaller, lighter, stands upright, and has like 95% of the power of the m18. it doesn't have the slow start feature, but, meh. since this comes with 2 5ah batteries I'd call this a pretty worthwhile deal.

For your condition I would recommend Milwaukee M18 Fuel one. Both of these Milwaukees are excellent and have floating head for minimum vibrations, but M18 one is heavier and runs bigger heavier batteries so it has even less vibration than M12. Overall M18 Fuel is a better tool for most things, but once in a while I have to bust out the little brother when undercutting under cabinets or something. It's a tiny bit smaller footprint and you can also shave off a bit of rubber coating on top and can get into tighter places. For everything else, M18 is better, undercuts are cleaner too because it has higher top RPM.
EDIT: DeWalt oscillating tools are horrible when it comes to vibration, they're one of the worst. We used them for years before switching to Milwaukee. With your condition I would quit using one asap and get yourself a new gen milwaukee, either m12 fuel or m18 fuel and you will be very happy. Non fuel versions are previous gen, probably at least a decade old and don't have any vibration dampening tech like new fuel ones do.

Tool-free blade change makes swapping oscillating blades faster during projects.
The tool's premium build feel and LED light can help during detailed work.
The M12 Fuel platform can deliver about 95% of M18 power while staying smaller and lighter.
Including two 5Ah batteries can make the $189 starter kit feel worthwhile for many buyers.
The kit value may hinge on whether it truly includes 2x 5Ah batteries instead of another capacity.
The non-FUEL version can gather dust and produce enough vibration to worsen peripheral neuropathy and osteoarthritis.
The non-FUEL version can vibrate enough to hurt hands and may feel underpowered for its size.
The Fuel upgrade may not be worth buying if the only reason is getting the Fuel branding.
