This is a great deal! I paid $530 for this exact same combo deal back in early October!
My only complaint so far with the ASUS B650E-E mobo is that the chipset runs hot if you put you NVMe drive in the certain slots. I was at 69C for the chipset temp just sitting in Windows 11 without gaming. After moving the NVMe drive to do a different slot closest to the CPU, my chipset temps dropped down 52C and then after disabling the integrated graphics and onboard wifi its now down in the 47 to 49C range.
This is a solid deal right now, but I remember when these used to come with ram 😂. The good old days
actually went to microcenter last weekend to pick this up with the x870e. I asked the associate if they had any catalogs so that i could browse through additional deals for a new pc build. He told me everything was on the site now. I went to the site and added the CPU and motherboard to my cart and i got a message that I could add RAM for additional savings.
They might not advertise it but i believe the deal is still there. just requires a little more effort on the page

That's not the point. At what cost is the point! They may give you some single bills off because of the combo, but have you looked lately at the price of RAM or did the catalog say that they will give the memory for free
I literally picked this combo up for $530 this morning and they didn't tell me it was on sale for $30 less.
One of the problems that I have with microcenter folks there... Something might be available for a lower price but some of them don't let you know anything, even some product info

Microcenter offers price protection within 30 days of purchase. I'll be going this week to get about 150 back due to recent price drops.
Yeah, except it's a 40 min drive one way for me, so can't just 'stop by'. Annoying that they can't give any refunds over the phone or online unless you paid with AMEX or their branded card.

So temping, from the past it comes with the DDR5 . Now even though the combo is great but DD5 double the price. Added to the cart 9800x3d upgrades msi 870MB for $50 more.
