Just a heads up for anyone
Had the s11 and OP 3 sitting on my desk the S11 and mediatek do some weird stuff in app some features are even missing from things like tiktok and other socials like HQ uploads or playback in certain apps and video players are lower refresh and bitrate. Also for cloud gaming and streaming their way behind in latency and codecs
OP3 was had all kinds of weird stutter issues in different apps and games poor audio and the screen for the size needs to be OLED. The brightness was subpar and the glare was bad. They both got returned the S11 needs the SD chip IMO.

Appreciate the insight. Tab S9 owner here that was contemplating an upgrade to S11. Would you possibly elaborate any any other quirks encountered on the S11? Much appreciated.

The tablet is nice overall. The screen, speakers, battery, and S-Pen are solid at $600 or less, though you lose some S-Pen functions this generation. You'll want to fully update it because the new Samsung UI still has quirks. For something sold as "high-end," it should be closer to an S25 Ultra.
Social apps are rough. TikTok and Instagram playback look low-bitrate and low-res, and the refresh rate jumps between 30–120 Hz in a way that feels broken. TikTok is missing the HQ upload option, and Instagram/Facebook uploads are hit or miss. Even YouTube, Twitter, and Apollo game streaming show motion issues.
CapCut also gave me repeated errors and wouldn't work properly.
Gaming isn't great either. It's definitely not a Snapdragon experience. Input consistency and latency vary, and cloud/game streaming apps have weird spikes and stutters. The screen looks amazing, but the performance underneath doesn't match it. There's a whole Reddit thread on the codec/encoder problems—Samsung, MediaTek, and Nvidia haven't responded, and only Xbox said they'd look into it.
Bottom line: great for office or media use, but a hard pass for content creation or gaming at this price.
I cant really find anything in the states that is either. RedMagic looks nice but it has issues and dealing with a company that has no in store/retail local for warranty or issues is a redflag for me.

If you have a trade-in the Samsung day deal is better. Similar price after trade in, but with free storage upgrade.

tariffs and banning competition from china are insane man. not that long ago could get the one plus pad 2 that skunks this for 200.

now, you will buy this or ipad, all competition is effectively banned. pay 1000 or get low end trash, these giant corporations and politicians need more money.

Can you elaborate? The price increases if you have a trade-in.

Price goes up to 800$ if you try a trade in. And it's showing 650$ before trading in.

Better to sell my 8 ultra on eBay and buy a better tablet than this shitty overpriced one.

Hey, just saw your comment on the S11/S10+ deal and wanted to share a strong word of caution before you pull the trigger on it.
At this price point, the Galaxy Tab S10+ is honestly not a great value, especially when compared to something like the iPad Air (M-Series).
I've been using the latest One UI on my Ultra, and here are the biggest reasons you should seriously reconsider the Samsung for an iPad:

1. The App Gap is a Real Problem

If you plan on doing any serious video editing, graphic design, or professional creative work, the difference between the two ecosystems is massive.
  • iPad Advantage: iPadOS has genuinely desktop-grade, pro-level video apps like DaVinci Resolve and LumaFusion that are optimized for the M-series chip. These are next-level tools that simply don't exist, or exist in a less feature-rich version, on Android.
  • Samsung Struggle: Even with the powerful new chips, Android apps often feel like stretched-out phone apps, not native tablet experiences. For pro tasks, you'll hit a wall due to the lack of app support.
2. The Latest One UI is Not All Upside

The new UI updates are a mixed bag on the software side:
  • Routine Issues: I've noticed key features or reliability issues within Modes and Routines have been stripped or broken in the newer UI versions—it's frustrating to lose functions you rely on.
  • S Pen Downgrade: Even worse, Samsung is now removing the Bluetooth features (the Air Actions) from the S Pen on some of their new models. That means no remote control, no custom button gestures. You're losing productivity features for no good reason.
3. Price-to-Power Comparison

For the same money or slightly more, an iPad Air with the M-series chip (M1/M2/M5) provides a better-optimized operating system, vastly more power efficiency for demanding apps, and much stronger future-proofing.
My honest advice: Don't buy the S10+ for its price alone. For true productivity and creative work, the M-Series iPad is a safer, more powerful, and more complete investment right now.

Would have been nice to add extra for trading in an old tablet or something
