Thanks, ordered the 13" M4 16/256 using the PayPal 20% rewards Pay-In-4 promotion. Was planning on having BB price match Amazon, but this made it easier.

Community Reviews

The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro discounts look strongest when stacked with PayPal Pay in 4 or PayPal cash back, open box pricing, or cash back sites, with some purchases landing near $525 to $650 before tax. The 13 inch and 15 inch Airs are praised for speed, portability, and a noticeably larger screen at 15 inches, while the 24GB and 512GB configurations get the most love for extra headroom. The main hesitation is the 16GB and 256GB base setup, which feels tight for long term use and storage. PayPal eligibility and open box availability can be inconsistent, so the best price depends on the checkout path and stock.

Common Questions (6)

  • For basic homework, web browsing, and email, 16GB is reported as enough, and one 16GB machine handled about 8 resource-heavy tabs in a lightweight Debian test. For heavier multitasking, IntelliJ, many Chrome tabs, or keeping the laptop for 5+ years, 24GB gives more headroom.

  • Yes. The PayPal Pay in 4 flow can work at Best Buy, and the 20% back posts as PayPal points. The points show as pending right away and are reported to arrive within 90 days; the promo can also apply to the full after-tax purchase price.

  • Select PayPal at Best Buy checkout, then complete Pay in 4 inside the PayPal window rather than on Best Buy's page. The offer may not appear in Best Buy's checkout itself, and eligibility can vary by account.

  • Open-box units have been bought with the PayPal 20% offer, but some open-box listings do not qualify. One open-box excellent purchase showed the discount working, while another open-box excellent listing did not accept the 20% offer.

  • The 15-inch gives noticeably more screen real estate than the 13-inch, and that difference is easy to feel in daily use. If you prefer a larger display and are already used to 15-inch laptops, the 15-inch Air is the safer pick.

  • 256GB is the more common concern than 16GB for many shoppers, especially if you keep lots of files locally. One buyer with the 16/256 model still had 188GB free after setup, so it can be fine if your storage needs are light and you use cloud storage.

FYI - Costco has a deal on that configuration right now.

16gb/256gb is such a bad joke at the end of 2025.

Thanks op! Just placed an order through Uber Eats (with 100-20 promo) and discounted GC, along with Uber One member discount (5% off, didn't cover tax but it's better than nothing), with $10 tip and extra 3.99 for priority delivery.

Sweet! I picked up an open box excellent from the deal about two weeks ago, but this is roughly ~$150 cheaper! Wish they would just price match me instead of having to order to second and returning the first, but here we are.

13" M4 24/512 for $924 + tax = $991 (open box excellent)

Scratch that. Got any additional 20% with the PayPal Buy Now Pay Later. Man this is slick!

I have not tried it yet but this does not require a PayPal credit card, correct? I just get a PayPal bill for each of the 4 installments and I pay it off each time for 20% off?
