Thanks, ordered the 13" M4 16/256 using the PayPal 20% rewards Pay-In-4 promotion. Was planning on having BB price match Amazon, but this made it easier.

The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro discounts look strongest when stacked with PayPal Pay in 4 or PayPal cash back, open box pricing, or cash back sites, with some purchases landing near $525 to $650 before tax. The 13 inch and 15 inch Airs are praised for speed, portability, and a noticeably larger screen at 15 inches, while the 24GB and 512GB configurations get the most love for extra headroom. The main hesitation is the 16GB and 256GB base setup, which feels tight for long term use and storage. PayPal eligibility and open box availability can be inconsistent, so the best price depends on the checkout path and stock.

  • Stacking PayPal 20% with an open-box purchase can produce a lower all-in price for the same MacBook configuration.

  • PayPal Pay-In-4 can be easier than relying on Best Buy price matching for Amazon.

    vtvick777

  • PayPal 20% cash back can apply to the full after-tax purchase price, improving the effective discount.

    js619

  • In-store pickup with an in-store trade-in can provide trade-in credit on the spot after assessment.

    bru_that

  • PayPal Pay Later may not appear on Best Buy's site, and the offer can be missing during checkout.

    Zmazingsnowboy99

  • The 16GB/256GB configuration can feel inadequate for longer-term use expectations.

    whatgooddeal

  • Trade-in stacking with PayPal 20% cashback can reduce the net benefit, making separate transactions preferable.

    holly_molly

  • Open-box units labeled Fair can require extra travel and may miss the chance to apply the 20% PayPal discount.

Sweet! I picked up an open box excellent from the deal about two weeks ago, but this is roughly ~$150 cheaper! Wish they would just price match me instead of having to order to second and returning the first, but here we are.

13" M4 24/512 for $924 + tax = $991 (open box excellent)
Lucky you! For me only good is at $990 or fair at $955 w/o tax, excellent is at $1129

Nope. Open Box Fair - Sat for a while, needed to drive an hour away to get it.

Didn't know about the 20% until right after.

He means accounting for the PayPal cash back.
Not accounting for the Paypal discount.... They just had the macbook air for a while and was on super discount since the sale was announced.

The lowest I see is $1000 now for 24/512.
Yeah. Realized that I got super lucky. Was really old stock at the location I checked and they just wanted it gone.

What's the chance of this price lasting into next week? Long story short I wouldn't be able to buy until then :/ Historically are Black Friday Apple sales standard holiday pricing, or do they raise the price again after Black Friday week?

What's the consensus, is the extra $200 worth it for the 512gb?

I got "used like new" from Amazon for $623.92+tax. On top of that, got 7% cash back from the Amazon store card.

16gb/256gb is such a bad joke at the end of 2025.
There's zero reason for more memory if you're just doing basic homework, web surfing and email on it. (And we have 2tb iCloud). Anything more is a waste of money.
