The B is slightly different from the normal Bravia 8. Lacks the dynamic contrast enhancer and no bravia credits are the main changes. Prob not a big deal but it hasn't been tested as a separate model by rtings or anyone to my knowledge. For the money though it seems a good buy IMO. I'd guess it looks almost identical to the B8 for a lower price.

Yeah, those differences wouldnt matter much for most.
Absolutely no complaints. Dark or light room. Unfortunately my tv died since I didn't put it on a surge protector. Got a LG B4 definitely miss the sound quality.

How is it compare to the Costco model? Almost the same thing?

Costco is just showing the reg bravia 8 so far as I have seen so same differences. Costco has the backlit remote maybe. Seems they are still trying to move those out at 1500 which is kind of meh but you get the slightly more premium set and warranty included ofc.
Sam's has a 8B version w backlit remote for 1200 w warranty so nice deal there.
Sony site has 10% off w email so that is pretty slick. Says not stackable but I assume that wouldn't matter w separate card cash back like December 5% back w PayPal with freedom card for instance. Want to try that myself.
