For 3D printer newbies. You need NOTHING else from Bambu labs. You can buy way cheaper filaments from Aliexpress with the comparable quality. I would recommend getting a 10 pack multi-color filaments liket his deal which should cost you ~$6 per 1Kg.

My son had been begging us to get him a 3d printer. Went from $200 A1 mini from his own pocket to dad jumping in on this action 😅. Let the random printing begin

A couple recommended items for new 3D print users.

3D model burr cleanup tool set and hotend cleaner:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CS6MLCWK

Jewelers pliers set for cleaning up models and removing supports.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PZ58BWJ

Air tight (waterproof) sealed container drybox for filament storage:
https://www.menards.com/main/stor...-12667.htm

Rechargeable Eva-Dry Dessicant for drybox:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Eva-D.../202847325

PETG is more durable than using PLA but also absorbs moisture more quickly. Most filaments recommend drying before printing. Once the filament is dry you can store filament in a drybox and you don't have to dry it again for the next printing.

If you don't mind me asking, what accessories did you add to your order?
I picked up the 0.2 / 0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 regular hotends, a 0.4 high-flow hotend, the smooth PEI plate, and the engineering plate. I also stocked up on about $300 worth of ABS, ASA, and PETG last week from Bambu Labs.

This deal worked for me. I used Citibank credit card which gives me another 2% off. The bonus points are granted 90 days later. The only cc cards they don't take is Chase and Capital One. The limit is $1500 for the item you buy each time. However there is also a credit limit which is different for each person. I picked up the p2s combo and various filaments.

Is this deal over? I don't see a "pay later" option.

I can't seem to find in the terms if I can pay it off before interest hits. Anyone tried this before?

There is no interest. Pay in 4 is automatically schedule once you have placed the order.

I haven't completed my purchase yet ... now I don't see Pay in 4 option ... on my PayPal account, it shows 2 pre-authorizations of $200: "This is a temporary authorization to make sure your payment method will cover the payment. Your payment method will be charged when Pay in 4 completes your order."

Anyone else get this without completing the purchase?

I ordered. So this comes with AMS 2 with bult-in dryer but uses the power from the printer so you can either dry or print but not both. If I order the external AMS 2 power adapter - wondering if I can then dry and print at same time? I usually run dry for an hour and then start printing+drying on the Kobra 3s I have.
I just bought the S1 but have the option of returning it. This would be my first printer. Is it worth the premium buying P2S ~$700 vs Anycubic S1 combo ~$230?

Paypal in 4 is not showing up after I tried applying for it. Which said I didn't apply enough to get the P2S. Which is bull, I make enough money and my credit score is above 800. When will the Paypal in 4 show back up for me to apply again?

Is anyone concerned that this will be another trinket factory lying around in their garage? I like making things but I can only think of 1 or 2 things that I want to print and not sure if it is worth spending $900.

total noob here ... should i add any type of filament - PLA basic, PLA matte, PETG HF, ABS, PLA Silk+?
If you're just starting off, get Bambu brand PLA. PLA is the easiest filament type to work with, very versatile.

Also, the Bambu brand will be auto detected, so you dont have to try to create manual profiles for the filaments yourself. And their filament is good, and reasonably priced.

Damn. Wish I could have gotten a $230 AC S1C! Both are plug and play but you will get better more constant prints with P2S and less headaches. I guess it depends on if you can afford the $700. 3D prints take hours+++ (more time for lower layer height/better quality/silk/etc) so I bought 3 ACs and a P2S. No, I didn't think I would use a 3D printer much but now I'm hooked!
