FWIW, I have a 36V ebike, purchased several years ago before they dropped under $500, that I use for riding around my city. It's still quite enjoyable to ride; you don't need a 1000W motor if you actually want to get some exercise. Plus this one doesn't have those silly fat tires. Obviously this isn't a real mountain bike and it's probably a really crappy front suspension, but if you put some road tires on it you'll have a pretty nice hybrid for riding around town. Only question is the battery; 10.4Ah seems a little on the low side. Mine is rated at 13Ah.

Good points 👍 I went ahead and got one for the exercise aspect. I can only handle so long of a bike ride so I'm ok with the smaller battery. My friend has an ebike with those fat tires you mentioned and it makes pedaling too much effort with all that rolling resistance.

I bought a similar bike on AliExpress for about $236. The last 3 times the seller disappeared and AliExpress refunded me. The bikes appear to have same features, product descriptions, etc. as branded equivalents. Mine has Shimano gears and Bosch motor and arrived in good condition. The price was originally $267 and as I considered it in my cart the total changed to $236. The prices change by the minute. Mine was delivered in 3 days with free shipping. If you have time and patience you can get a good deal. I'm trying to figure out what the scam is for those that don't deliver.
