These open box AirPods Pro 3 are drawing the most attention for their fit, sound, and the chance to land them near $160 with the PayPal Pay in 4 cash back offer. The earbuds are described as a big upgrade over AirPods Pro 2, with a much better fit, and several units arrived looking pristine with matching serial numbers and active AppleCare coverage. The main caution is eBay risk, since AirPods listings can include fakes or used returns, and the PayPal promo did not work for every checkout. A solid open box option if the discount and protection details line up.
Common Questions (4)
It can work, but only if the PayPal offer is actually available on your account and the eBay checkout shows the 4-payments option. Some checkouts did not show it at first, while others got it to appear after removing eBay from PayPal automatic payments and reselecting PayPal at checkout.
Several open-box units were reported as legitimate, with matching serial numbers on the box, case, and earbuds, pristine hardware, and AppleCare+ or warranty status showing in Apple's system. The main caveat is that AirPods on eBay can be counterfeit, so buying from a reputable seller and verifying serials after pairing is important.
Some units showed AppleCare+ already active through dates like 1/8/28 or 2/25/28, which suggests the previous owner may have purchased coverage before returning them. AirPods Pro 3 can also still be eligible to buy AppleCare within 60 days of the original purchase, so pairing them to an iPhone can reveal the current coverage status.
The AirPods Pro 3 were described as a big upgrade over Pro 2, especially for fit. If fit is the main issue with Pro 2, the newer model may be the more comfortable choice.

So to be clear you did the pay later option.
I it offers me $20 to fill out the credit application taking it down to $199. Then after that I will get points = 20% back?
Then go back to ebay and it should appear (might have to refresh) after you say pay with paypal, you will get options. It the 4 payments, NOT paypal credit, which thought it was at first.
