Kingroon PETG is a strong, reliable filament for functional prints that need more toughness than PLA. The community feedback points to good results on a wide range of printers, including Bambu and Flashforge machines, with presets and normal PETG tuning helping dial it in. PETG is also described as fine for indoor printing and less brittle than PLA. The main cautions are that some 10 pack batches have printed poorly, and AliExpress coupon codes and payment handling can be inconsistent. A practical pick if you want bulk PETG and are willing to tune settings.

  • Kingroon PETG has produced good results for many prints, including when used as the primary filament.

  • PETG can be stronger and less brittle than PLA for functional parts that need extra durability.

  • The filament can print indoors and may require only modest temperature tuning for best results.

  • Kingroon filament presets for Bambu Studio can help dial in settings for smoother printing.

  • AliExpress purchases made with a credit card through PayPal may be coded as cash advances and trigger fees and high interest.

  • Coupon codes can fail or appear dead, including RDLFN10 and US1011 not working for some buyers.

  • A 10-pack can clump and fail to stick well even after drying overnight when using a generic PETG profile.

  • PETG may not be food-safe in practice because manufacturing additives or contaminants are unknown.

My sale price is $70.87. With code RDLFP10, I can only get the price down to $64.52.
The Ali codes change a few times per day almost. Look on your front page, or various reddit boards where codes are posted. Many will expire without warning. Current best ones are around 20% off.

Petg is safe to print indoors, it is known to be stronger, or less brittle than pla, so it is great for functional parts that aren't just trinkets. You have to bump up the temp a little bit on your printer, but your slicer should help you with that. It's safe around kids, but 3d printed stuff is never "food safe" unless you coat it in something since the layer lines will inherently let stuff grow in there. I've had good luck with cookie cutters and stuff though. As long as it's more of a one-time thing, and you are ok with the extra micro-plastics in your diet.
Thanks for the insights

Looks like the price jumped up to 70.87 as above, but hopefully it'll drop back down.

I've bought this filament before and it works great. I would caution people that AliExpress is reporting transactions as Cash Advances which incur a fee and immediate high interest with most cards. This happened on my recent purchase using a Citi Card on PayPal. There's a giant Reddit discussion about it.
i got dinged with two $10 fees for two transactions that got flagged as Cash Advances. Nobody wants to help me, the card issuer is of no help and won't waive the fees and blames Paypal for flagging it as a Cash advance and Paypal is no help either.

I contacted AliExpress yesterday. "It's been escalated" and I'm supposed to get an update by tomorrow. Not hopeful, but at least I have a paper trail to show PayPal for a dispute on their end.

I just checked the big PSA warning thread on Reddit and it looks like Paypal is starting to reimburse customers for their mistake. I will make a call to them tomorrow. Gees, imagine f-king up this bad on the busiest 11/11 singles day/week promo on AliExpress

Would anyone with experience with 3D printers be able to let me know if this filament would work good with my 3D printer?

It should work fine with your printer. You might have to play with the settings to get it to print the best, temps, speed, etc. Which you have to do with any 3d printer, so nothing unique to yours. But it should be compatible.

Does anyone have any modifications to their settings to get this to print right? I bought a 10 pack recently and they seem pretty bad. Despite drying overnight, I can't get the filament to print correctly. It clumps and doesn't stick well. I am using a Bambu P1S with the generic PETG profile, which has worked for everything I've thrown at it so far.

Just to clarify, PETG but itself is generally food safe but we have no idea what else is put in during the manufacturing process, which can definitely involve toxic chemicals.
I would not chance it, but up to the individual. Let's just be careful with inaccurate advice

Look a few comments back. Flangomango posted links for the filament profiles for Bambu.
