This Apple eGift card promo was mainly attractive as a way to stretch Apple spending with a $15 Best Buy bonus card, and the Apple card can be used for apps, subscriptions, refurbished devices, and even toward an iPhone purchase. The bonus card eventually worked, though it took a little while to become usable. Purchase limits were tight, with separate orders required and reports of caps around one per order and two per 24 hours. Amex and PayPal promo credits were inconsistent because gift cards were excluded in the terms, so any extra cashback was not guaranteed.
People planning to buy Best Buy promotional eGift cards in separate transactions because commenters reported Best Buy's checkout limits require separate orders (and sometimes waiting for processing) to get multiple gift cards through.
Shoppers with an Amex card and an Amex "Spend 250+ Get 25 Back" offer who are buying enough qualifying gift cards because multiple commenters said the Amex cashback triggered when they spent $250+ on gift cards bundled with the Best Buy promo eGift card.
Apple gift-card buyers who want to use the balance for digital purchases (apps/subscriptions) or to stack multiple gift cards toward an iPhone purchase because commenters said Apple gift cards can be used for digital items and can be lumped toward an iPhone.
Best Buy shoppers using PayPal Pay in 4 who want to stack rewards because one commenter reported getting 20% back plus credit-card points when they used PayPal Pay in 4 for this kind of purchase.
Tech enthusiasts who are timing Apple upgrades and reselling prior models because one commenter described using this kind of ~15% discount strategy to buy new iPhones and sell the previous model to fund a MacBook Air.
Amex cardholders trying to trigger "Spend 250+ Get 25 Back" by buying Best Buy gift cards because commenters warned that Amex Rewards terms exclude gift cards, and one said their offer explicitly would not work with gift cards.
Buyers who want to purchase more than the allowed number of gift cards in one go because commenters reported the system limited further purchases after buying 2 (and sometimes orders got stuck in processing).
People hoping to use PayPal Pay in 4 promotional points on gift cards because a commenter warned the PayPal pay-4 promotional points may not clear since gift cards aren't eligible for that deal.
Shoppers who want to use Best Buy gift cards to buy other gift cards because commenters said Best Buy gift cards cannot be used toward buying other gift cards.
People expecting the $15 promotional gift card to appear when buying Apple gift cards in $50 increments because one commenter said buying 2 x $50 Apple gift cards did not yield the $15 promo gift card.
