That's actually very compelling for both. Yeah, in terms of Z1E it's the best on the market. SteamOS makes it perform better fairly close to the Xbox Ally X or the other Z2E machines and it's for half the price. Compared to the Windows versions it's just a good 10-15% better and if you're able to pick up one in Fair condition, amazing.
But that goes double for the Z2 Go. The chip is nothing impressive, it's actually quite similar to a Steamdeck, but it allows for higher TDP. That's what makes it compelling here because it quickly gets close to matching the other Z1E Windows machines, maybe 5-10% weaker to, say, an Ally X. At that price point it's pretty competitive. Personally I bit the bullet here since I had some reward certs to burn anyway and got to lower the price even further. Frankly none of the machines, even the new ones, are going to be running high end games from the past year or two at 60 FPS, so I can't justify spending a ton of money. For those games, I've got my desktop. For a $300-400 machine? Yeah, I'm okay with that.
