I cannot find any information on the heat tolerance of the lid. If you plan on tossing this in an oven, I would verify what its heat tolerances are since the enameled cast iron will definitely be fine, but the lid might have a much lower limit.

The glass lid (with stainless steel knob) is rated for up to 425 °F (220 °C) when used in the oven.

I've had this for a couple years. A Chefs Oven with glass lid is best used on the stovetop, IMO. The wide top with slopped sides is great for stirring soups, chili, some stews and gumbos, and reheating food. I've use it for stir fry too. While it can go into the oven I wouldn't use it for a pot roast due to its small surface area at its base.
