I ditched ring in favor of eufy last year due to rings ever increasing subscription prices. I will not be looking back. The notifications on eufy are a little annoying as they go off constantly with motion detected, but it's not a deal breaker. Other than that it's great

I have the e340. Ever since I setup activity zones, it's been a lot better about not setting off motion for every car or pedestrian that walks by.

Sometimes it detects my doormat as a package. Other than that, it's been great.

It does not have full time recording but individual recordings can be 30s long I believe.

Battery lasted about 2 weeks. Went to wired almost immediately after that.

The battery has to be connected though for wired to work, it's one major flaw. At some point the battery will probably fail and I don't know what happens then.

I love my Eufy (wired) doorbell.
Tangent: Anyone ever use wireless doorbell cameras as general-use cameras (on a tree, side of the house, etc.)? Looking for pros/cons. Tapo currently has their mini D205 for $35.

Asking the same question, as I'm about to get rid of Ring in the next couple months when my subscription ends.

Yeah the sooner you switch, the faster the ROI. I got rid of ring last year as well and converted to both the e340 doorbell and the e340 floodlight. I loved the ring floodlight though but both are noticeable image quality upgrades. The $99 you save from cancelling the subscription pays for the doorbell immediately and year two will pay for the floodlight. I'm in the process of buying them for my parents house. I thought about reolink but these are good enough and I'm already in the ecosystem

I switched from ring and got the HomeBase as well. The voice output on the doorbell seems to have some problems on mine. It is choppy but I haven't had time to truly troubleshoot it. The app has rough edges and has the usual Chinese to English typos and grammar mistakes. Otherwise we absolutely love the package notifications. Overall it's comparable enough that I will accept any cons over the ring if it means no sub fee

Same price elsewhere, notably Best Buy on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/205117459252 as you can stack the $5 off $50+ with Venmo (YMMV)

Is the camera in this deal wired, or wireless for power? I'm looking for wired for power to replace my nest doorbell cam but wireless for camera viewing.

I have this and I love the two cameras, one to show packages and the other for faces. Works great!

The motion detection notification was a pain for me as well since I have Eufy's discontinued Smart Drop box (for package deliveries). There wasn't a way for me specific notifications off while I used the cameras on other systems. I contacted their support with no luck either.
What solved the issue was using a 3rd party Android app called Buzzkill Notification Manager (app developed by Sam Ruston if searching on the Play Store). It allows you to filter out specific notifications by app and even filter down to the wording you'd see for specific notifications. And so I was able to mute the ones I didn't want and change the alarm noise for the ones I did. It was worth paying the small fee for the app.

I have an E340 doorbell and an HB2 - I'm actually looking to move away from it.

Bringing up the camera view or viewing recorded events is just so freaking slow... I did recently see the threads on Reddit about forcing the doorbells to connect to WiFi directly instead of to the HB's WiFi - I may be giving that a try in the coming days.

Current plan is to move to Ubiquiti, either the lite or the G6, whenever it gets released. Pulling cat6 will be a pain, but it's an extremely short pull to my mech/tech room, luckily

I believe the OP is battery-operated with the option to hard-wire, but I do not own it (E340) nor have experience with it.
