I've never had stick drift in any Xbox controller going back to Xbox 360. Is this issue with this special edition of the controller?

The issue is with kids / adults that don't take care of their controllers. I've never had any issues' ether.

This is a decent deal.
I bought 2 new xbox controllers last year from target. Both were lightly used and developed stick drift within 5 months; so YMMV as far as stick drift goes.
I never had an issue with drift on xbox 360 controllers though.......

Fake news...its well documented based in thousands and thousands of complaints, class action lawsuit, several forums/threads discussing it. I've never thrown my controller once in my life..I play mp shooter games anf every friend I know that plays the same type of games has had the issue...im sure if u play robot or goat simulator etc ur bit gonna have issue...

I was just about to order it from Target when I saw the $5.99 shipping. Glad to see Amazon price matched them. In for one!

Another user asked about stick drift - I've had my Series X since launch and I've used maybe 3 controllers over the lifespan and only one of them got stick drift after 5 years. So it happens, but I'd say the controller that got it had some major use over the years.

I can't speak for Xbox controllers specifically, but I've been gaming since the 80s and only with the Switch/PS5 generation did I ever run into an issue with drift. Both of my PS5 controllers developed issues within 2 years and I've got two Switch Pro controllers with moderate drift now.

This should not be blamed on the users, they are making products that just don't last any longer.

It's intentional, why would these companies fix the stick drift issue when it's making them so much money in new controller sales
