I wouldn't be surprised if someone bought an official charger and just returned a counterfeit. I mean its petty at the amount but it's not impossible.

Claimed "Apple" chargers are very often fake or broken returns. I bought one that stopped working after ONE use. Unfortunately, this was my backup charger and I found out after Amazon's return period. Just not worth the hassle. Avoid.

I got mine today and it was in a box that said iWatch. Obviously not made by Apple. Sending back, but I'm about done with Amazon's open box stuff. The last two times I've gotten something this way it's been some aliexpress version of what it should've been.
