I know other have mentioned the app. I don't use the app, and the sound quality is pretty good. I mostly listen to music and podcasts while my kid is in the park and it works well.
The one thing that really annoys me is that there is no groove or indent to open the case. The case is round and smooth, and I have a hard time opening the case sometimes; have to grip a certain way to open.
Overall, great value under $10.

Baseus Eli 2i Fit open ear earbuds stand out for comfortable, secure wear, quick pairing, and surprisingly solid sound for about $10. Battery life is a highlight too, with the case lasting weeks between charges in regular use, and the Bluetooth range is described as very strong. The main drawbacks are the slippery round case, which can be hard to open and orient on the charger, and basic controls, since there is no app support, no volume control on the buds, and pairing is limited to one device. A strong budget pick if you want simple open ear listening.
Common Questions (5)
The case can be slippery and hard to open because it is round and smooth with little or no groove to grip. A newer case revision reportedly adds a small overbite on the lid that makes it easier to lift.
Yes, the open-ear clip fit is described as very comfortable for long-term wear and secure enough for exercise. Several users say they forget they are on and that they do not fall off easily.
No app support is available for this model, and it works without any app connection. The earbuds pair and function normally on their own, though some Baseus earbuds in other lines may use an app.
Battery life is strong: one charge can last weeks of a few hours of daily use before the case needs recharging. The earbuds also have enough standby life that they can be used regularly without frequent charging.
No, they only pair to one device at a time. To reconnect them to another device, Bluetooth has to be turned off on the currently paired device because there is no force-pairing or reset control on the earbuds themselves.

Yes, they definitely should post!
The reason so many companies can get away with subsidizing their products to palatable and even attractive prices is because of the need for an intrusive app.
I'm a big fan of purchasing a product that I get to use with full functionality, and not being the product for their use.
Definitely keep "sounding off" about this!

I bought a new pair after the wash incident . Overall I like them. They pair super quick, great battery life, insane Bluetooth range. My only complaint is that my new pair when I put them away somehow still stay connected to my phone even with the case closed.
Ill bite on another pair st this price. Thx !
