Yes, you can. Just be careful adding your new code into your account on ESET's website. Adding the new license will begin the 1 year license period - it doesn't add additional time to your old license. So you should wait until your current licenses expires, and then add the new license.
ESET Home Security Essential is a lightweight antivirus and security suite that stands out for strong protection without slowing the system down. The package includes mobile devices, and the suite adds Safe Banking and Browsing, anti phishing, Network Inspector, webcam protection, anti theft, and a Windows firewall. The deal price is far below recent renewal pricing, making it especially attractive for future renewals. The main catch is activation timing, since new codes start the one year clock when redeemed and do not stack, so unused codes are best held until current licenses expire.
People renewing antivirus on a few PCs, because the license starts when you activate it and the 3-device plan avoids paying for seats you will not use.
Households adding phones and tablets, because Home Security Essential includes mobile devices and lets you assign extra licenses to devices you already own.
Buyers planning to stack multiple codes onto one existing subscription, because adding a new code starts a fresh year instead of extending the current term.
Activation reportedly can fail with a technical issue when trying to activate a previously purchased "new" license, requiring a support case and receipt.
Wait until the current subscription expires. Redeeming a new code starts the 1-year term immediately and does not stack extra time onto the existing license.
Yes. Home Security Essential includes mobile devices and is built on the NOD32 antivirus engine. It also adds Safe Banking and Browsing, anti-phishing, Network Inspector, webcam protection, anti-theft, and a Windows firewall.
If the devices are already linked to your ESET Home account, open ESET on each device, go into settings, and choose the "activate a license" option. That keeps the devices in the account while applying the new subscription.
The 5-device plan can reportedly be used on up to 10 devices without issues. The subscription still starts when the first seat is activated, and all seats expire together.
Yes, ESET Home Security Essential includes the core antivirus engine, which is the NOD32 Antivirus technology.
ESET NOD32 Antivirus is the basic, fundamental protection (antivirus/antispyware).
ESET Home Security Essential is a full security suite built upon the NOD32 core.
Features:
- Safe Banking and Browsing (a secured browser for online payments).
- Anti-Phishing.
- Network Inspector (to test your home router and smart devices for vulnerabilities).
- Webcam Protection.
- Anti-Theft (for laptops and Android devices).
- Firewall (for Windows).
The higher price for ESET NOD32 Antivirus is due to Device Count and Duration.
For maximum savings, the Home Security Essential (5 Devices) deal is unbeatable at $3.60 per device/year. That said, be mindful of your actual needs.
If you only have three devices, opt for the 3-device Essential plan ($4.33/device/year) instead. This prevents overbuying licenses, as you won't be paying for licenses you won't use.
Thanks, mine expires in May and the deals around that time aren't as good as this one. last march paid like $36 for this same plan. definitely saved some money for my 2026 renewal +1

I bought multiple copies cheap in 2023, and just tried to activate a "new" license and no luck! Technical issue it claims, so I just opened up a case with them and sent them the receipt from Newegg and all. Hopefully they honor it, so I wouldn't go TOO many years out as this deal always pops up around black Friday. Or every other month.

If you get the 3 or 5 do you have to use all in the same year

Once you activate the first seat, the clocks starts running. You don't have to add all devices at once, but they will expire all at the same time based on the first activation. You can manage the device subscriptions on the ESET website / customer portal. It's also possible (but hit or miss for me) to de-activate devices to free up a seat. Again, I have maybe a 50% success rate when I tried that (doing the windows 11 upgrades required reactivation of ESET license after fresh install) but it's at least possible.

HEADS UP, the codes are one time use only per account. I had already bought the 5 and 3 seat essential packs, went to buy another 3 seat today and Newegg said I had already used the promo code.
So I just created a different account under a different email and no problems.
This is an incredible deal! I just looked at what it costs to renew in the ESET app and it said $75!! (for 5). wow. thanks OP. I kinda want to buy two but I feel doubtful about the code working 2 years from now. maybe they wont even have the same product line.
ESET is the best AV out there, and dont believe people who tell you Defender is all you need. the company ESET routinely does deep analysis of bleeding edge malwares. They arent some joke ass company like so many of the others are. ESET loads it's own SSL cert s oit can MITM scan your HTTPS browser pages. I have found a few javascript malwares that way, and defender would never see er that.
Another cool feature is for mobile-- you can set it up so that it takes a selfie pic of anyone who enters your PIN code wrong. pretty cool, but whatever you do dont enable the setting that locks your phone if the SIM is ejected. really screwed myself doing that cuz you need to know the password.

Activation can be managed per device so existing ESET Home account connections can keep devices in the same account while applying the new license.
The license keys reportedly do not expire until they are redeemed, which supports keeping a reserve code for later activation.
ESET usage reportedly causes few or no annoying upgrade messages and does not noticeably slow down systems.
Adding a new license code reportedly starts the one-year period immediately and does not extend the existing subscription time.
Activation reportedly can fail with a technical issue when trying to activate a previously purchased "new" license, requiring a support case and receipt.
Seat timing reportedly runs from the first activated device, so all seats expire together and deactivating devices to free seats can be hit-or-miss.
Promo codes reportedly are one-time use per account, which can require creating a different email account to apply another promo.
