Fantikk vs Hoto ? Thanks
I bought both -- this HOTO and the costco Fanttik S1 Apex ($35 currently)
I like the HOTO because it just works. 2 buttons: Forward and Reverse, lots of bits, a light, and 3 torque settings. It's light, it's easy to hold and use, and powerful enough to put together furniture (my main use -- basically to reduce the time with a screwdriver). I put together a couple pieces of furniture in no time, much easier than my (nice) ratcheting screwdriver set, didn't have any troubles at all, worked great.
The Fanttik? Much beefier, much heavier, much bulkier with a lot more customization. You definitely feel the added weight, and to me that's not a bonus really as it feels more similar to a drill than a screwdriver. It's adjustable to where it can be a 'long stick' similar to the HOTO or a 'drill' shape.. it also has a bunch of settings (8 torque modes, 2 speed settings) which is nice to have, but not really needed for most. You probably don't want the 'super fast' setting for putting furniture together (or anything with screws!) so I don't see much value there. I also don't get the full value out of 8 torque settings versus 3, but some people might appreciate it. The bits on the Fanttik seem much nicer, definitely more heavy duty, but bits are cheap and you can always use your own with either of these screwdrivers.
One thing I much prefer on the HOTO is the forwards & backwards buttons for screwing/unscrewing, it's easy to do it all 1-handed. The Fanttik on the other hand has 1 button (power) and uses a separate setting on the LCD panel to adjust forwards or backwards.
I found the HOTO to be plenty for most tasks, and easier to use. It's lighter and you can one-hand it while using your other hand to hold the furniture (or whatever else you have) whereas the Fanttik is much heavier and bulkier, and more of a 2-handed tool. Some might prefer this, or the added features and adjustments, but to me it didn't make a big difference.
Both will probably work the same.. the Fanttik might have more power, but unless you're drilling screws straight into wooden boards, that might not matter to you. My goal was something that can put together furniture (or put some screws into drywall walls) easily without stopping, and both of them do this easily. If your goal is to do something heavier duty? the Fanttik is probably going to give you some more power, but why not just get a drill at that point
EDIT: I just put together another piece of furniture -- about 40 bolts, used the hoto for half and the fanttik for the other half.
Overall: Much prefer the Hoto at this point, to the point I'm considering returning the Fanttik even though it was a great price.
Again, the Hoto is much lighter and easy to hold with one hand.. if you're trying to balance something (or even screw into drywall), the Hoto is much easier since you can single handedly do it. The Fanttik is much heavier and oddly shaped.
The Hoto case is also much better designed (IMO) as all of the screwdriver bits are pointed up.. when assembling furniture, you can simply place the screw over the heads to determine which one you need. Is it an H2? H3 or H4? Easy. With the Fanttik, they're all held diagnally and you need to pull them out to check sizes.
The Hoto case is MUCH more compact. Probably 1/3 or 1/4 the size (and weight) of the Fanttik. The other issue with the Fanttik case is everything is held in with magnets. I lifted up the case and the weird slippery texture it has + the weight + the rounded corners made it slide off the table dropping all the bits everywhere. The hoto is held in place with friction and seems to work much better here.
The Hoto seems to take other bits easier.. they hold in secure, even using a drill bit on one, it held in much better than the Fanttik.
Will both get the job done? Yes. The Fanttik might even have more power, but to me the Hoto wins hands down

Thanks for your review. This kind of pushed me towards the photo. Have you tried using it on small electronics?
You can have it for $20 bucks on eBay, it's listed for $23 but the seller accepts $20 offers. Just bought one

You forgot to mention the eBay item is "like new" condition.

FYIThe long bit version inside the casing is roughly $22.39 NEW from the same seller.

I haven't tried it on small electronics, but mostly because I haven't had a need to use it on them yet
The Apex might be better designed for that though, if it's going to be a primary issue. For any type of precision work though, I would find the Hoto to be the much more comfortable option to hold due to the large size (about twice as long, several times are heavy) compared to the hoto
S1 apex has a low speed (100rpm) and a high speed (250rpm)
The Hoto has 1 speed (220rpm)
The S1 apex goes down to 0.5 nm torque.. the Hoto has 3 modes (low/med/high torque), with a maximum of 4nm electric torque.. but it doesn't say what the first and second settings are

he just accepted a 19 dollar offer from me. Paypal paid him and its shipping so 19 is his low price so far, your mileage may vary
