FYI – The rules on the $15 credit are pretty strict. Last year, I applied it to an order that I ended up cancelling and never got the credit back. I appealed to support and they said it was one time use and doesn't get refunded. Trying to save others from potential headache. Makes sure you only order what you are for sure going to keep!

For anyone decide to buy apple gift card and then use to buy "iphone/ipad/macbook...". You are allowed up to $2,000 in apple balance and up to 8 gift card seperately on the transaction ( this is "online" limit , in store I believe 20). Basically 2,800 capped on "apple gift card" per transaction

The $15 Amazon credit will probably only apply for 1.

Does anyone know if this can be applied to iCloud monthly subscription ?
Idk but it's perfect timing for me to refund the $2,800 overpayment the IRS gave me. And I get free Amazon money!

So apple account balances can't be used for in store purchases?
It did not work for me. Blocked by what I can only assume were fraud controls. A couple people in this thread had the same experience and I have read similar stories on Reddit.

I thought it would make it more convenient to have everything loaded into my Apple account and just tap to pay. It failed and I spent hours in the store and on the phone with customer support. Eventually I had Apple's gift card support team refund the money from my Apple account back to the gift cards. Thankfully I still had them in my possession.

It is not worth the risk! Just use the electronic or physical gift cards. It will take the associate 10 minutes to scan/type them in but that is nothing compared to what happens if payment fails from your Apple account.

The risk is if you lose those physical cards, or your electronic cards get hacked you're out the money. Safer to load into the apple account

Worked fine for me 2 weeks ago -- had GCs saved to my Apple Account balance over the past few months which showed up in my Apple WalletUsed my iP13 to tap and pay at the store to buy an unlocked iP17 -- no problem with regular store transaction (make sure Apple Account shows up in your Apple Wallet and install the Apple Store app to make it easier)I did try to pay in full online for store pickup but the order wasn't going through (told me to ship it instead) -- did not try putting a small $1-$5 amount on CC to see if that works
The transaction was done in store correct? I know there's issues with ordering via the app for in store pick up. So I was hoping I can use my Apple account balance for in store transactions.

Yea -- a regular in-store transaction

Do you mind if I ask what you purchased? I'm curious if there's a restriction on $ amount. Another comment is saying it didn't work for in store purchases Frown

No one should be walking into the Apple Store with money to buy a computer; place your order online and pick up at the store. Use your apple account. There's no way I'm going to bring a dozens of gift cards and printout e-gift cards to the Apple Store; that's ghetto.

Tell that to Apple. Their fraud controls block in-store purchases from people who load gift cards on to their Apple account and cancel online orders for pickup that used gift cards to make the purchase.

Hmm? I applied up to $2000 and buy stuff like iPhone?
Did you use it in store, or via online? In the past I was able to use these from my iCloud account to purchase online, but not in-store. IIRC it was the way to get past the online problem of only being able to use 8 GC's on a purchase.

In the past its been limit 1 digital Apple GC and limit 1 physical Apple GC per Amazon account -- they would have a separate promo code for each

Not a $15 Amazon GC -- you get a $15 Amazon credit
