I got this TV last year for the same price and it is awesome! Screen is so bright it hurts my eyes sometimes at night. If you look at the reviews, everyone loves it.

Just replaced my aging LG Oled B6, and so far,..... I am missing my oled. Once you go sharp contrast and inky blacks, you can't go back.

From what I've read, most people compare the pros and cons of a smaller OLED vs the more immersive experience of a 98". If comparing comparable sizes, I believe OLED always wins except in certain HDR scenarios.

Can't be with this QM8K?

I have owned the LG B2 OLED for a few years and recently bought & returned their flagship G4 OLED 83 inch; bought this 98 inch qm8k and very happy with it.

Blacks were very close but the qm8k destroys the G4 in SDR & HDR brightness.

And there is no replacement for displacement;
98 > 83

Yeah, somebody posted that; they are pausing the PM till Dec 1. But I guess they will bring down the price on their own during BF.

I have a 97" LG G2 downstairs and a 65" TCL QM8K upstairs. Watching the show Bloodhounds on Netflix, which has some good HDR in the city with car headlights and city at night... the HDR effect is great on both. The way TCL handles black levels and does especially better than Hisense (U7K) or Sony (X90L) for TVs I have owned... TCL is the best miniLED out and closest to "perfect contrast".
