Looks decent. Think it'll be possible to get a system with 64gb ram and closer to 2k for black Friday?

That's a lot to pay for a PC with a generic power supply.

Is an ASUS 80+ Gold rated PSU generic?

Not with a 5080.

It clearly says:

"Gamdias HELIOS P2-1000G 1000 W Full Modular Power Supply"

In the listing.
Which has no clear OEM/Manufacturer.

That's about as sketchy as it gets.

You can even look up the lab report to see how it earned its 80 plus gold certification

I run a PC shop for a living, I'm aware how the 80+ certification works.

That doesn't show low cheaply the components in the PSU are, or if there are functional "safety's" built in like: OCP
OVP
UVP
OTP
SCP
OPP

In the end, it's just another Generic PSU that shouldn't be trusted in a system of this tier.

Buy a Seasonic, Super Flower, or Channel Well.

I'm just saying that's expensive. For something that much I would want it to have a know decent PSU. Not like they are crazy expensive.

I die a little more inside every time I see Microcenter deals. (I don't have one near me and rarely ship the good deals) 😢
otherwise, I'd buy that one you linked l, right now.

I'm lucky enough to live about 20miles away from one but it can take an hour to get there with LA traffic. Still totally worth it.
