Community Reviews

PS VR2 stands out as an OLED headset with deep blacks and strong contrast, and the Horizon bundle is being treated as a solid value for the price. The headset is also seen as a way into PC VR with a cheap adapter, and the PayPal Pay in 4 offer can stack into meaningful cash back when the promo is activated first. The main drawbacks are the wired design and repeated concern that Sony has already stopped supporting PS VR2, which could leave games limited. A strong pick if the display quality matters more than wireless freedom or long term platform support.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes. The bundle has been bought with PayPal Pay in 4 after accepting the 20% offer in PayPal, and the cash back later showed as pending; another purchase got an additional $30 off through Amex. One targeted checkout also showed a 10% rewards-points checkbox.

  • Costco has the bundle with a charging station for $320, which can be a better value than the Amazon price if you want the extra accessory. Best Buy at the same price can be even cheaper if you first add the PayPal Pay in 4 20% cash-back offer to your account.

    Jondraxnrs5100biffbastion76maximus96

  • Yes, it can be used for PC VR with a cheap PC adapter on Amazon. The headset is wired, but it is also praised for its OLED panel, deep blacks, and contrast compared with LCD headsets.

  • The PS VR2 is wired and has an OLED panel with deep blacks and strong contrast, while the Oculus 3 is wireless and can run PC VR wirelessly with a good Wi‑Fi 6E router. A separate concern is that Sony reportedly stopped supporting PSVR2 in 2024, which may limit future games.

Better deal is probably getting this at best buy for this same price and using PayPal. They're giving 20%cb if you do pay in 4, but you have to go add that offer to your PayPal account first.

I pulled the trigger too quickly. Bought from Walmart without the charging station for $319 taxes included.

The charging station would have been nice.

I'm preparing for the Flight simulator relase in December.

I just used this myself. Thank you. Still waiting to see the total, but says 20% off of purchases like you said in PayPal (Pay in 4)

This offer/banner shows up in the app, but when I click the button, it takes me to some page about paying in 4 in store, but there's no indication about an offer being added to my account. Any idea what to do?

You have to accept that offer in PayPal first. Then I went to BB and bought it using PayPal Pay in 4. I am assuming the 20% will be given back at a later date. It's not instant.

$285 at Target and was about to buy before I read all the 2 star reviews about every set the controllers don't even work. Guess I'm getting a Oculus 3.
