PS VR2 stands out as an OLED headset with deep blacks and strong contrast, and the Horizon bundle is being treated as a solid value for the price. The headset is also seen as a way into PC VR with a cheap adapter, and the PayPal Pay in 4 offer can stack into meaningful cash back when the promo is activated first. The main drawbacks are the wired design and repeated concern that Sony has already stopped supporting PS VR2, which could leave games limited. A strong pick if the display quality matters more than wireless freedom or long term platform support.
PayPal Pay in 4 can show a 20% cash back discount after accepting the offer first.
The bundle deal can be improved with an additional AMEX discount.
The headset can deliver OLED contrast and deep blacks for scenery-heavy games.
The deal can work out to roughly $233 before tax when pending rewards points are applied.
Sony stopped supporting PSVR2 in 2024, and game availability may become extremely limited.
The charging station is missing when buying the bundle from Walmart.
The PayPal cash back is not instant and may be returned later after the purchase.
The discount appears targeted, with rewards-point eligibility requiring a checkbox.

Good points to make. I'll add that if you got a good wifi 6E router, you can run PC VR wirelessly into the oculus for some ultimate wireless VR gaming.
I chose to get a PSVR2 though because it's an OLED panel and you get the contrast and deep blacks for those games that look amazing on certain areas of scenery. You cannot get that on LCD which the Oculus, Index, and newer VIVE headsets are. Only the PSVR2 and BigscreenBeyond headsets are the headsets I know use OLED panels.
