So yes, it's still $100 off effectively, but I feel like at this point $50 off the price it had been for so long isn't a big sale. If they had brought it down to $600, that would have been legit.
Community Reviews
The PS5 Pro is drawing attention as a premium 2 terabyte console that can be made much cheaper with stacked promos, especially PayPal Pay in 4 cash back, Best Buy trade in credits, and occasional Amex or Amazon card offers. The strongest value math puts it well below list price, and the extra processing features are described as noticeable in real play. Shipping dates, trade in promos, and cash back offers have been inconsistent, though, and the upgrade is still seen as late in the generation with limited game support for the extra power. A solid option if the discounts line up and you want the Pro features.
Common Questions (5)
The deal can be stacked with retailer promos: Best Buy has shown a $100 bonus trade-in on the PS5 Pro page, and PayPal Pay in 4 has offered 20% cash back when redeemed before purchase. Dell has also matched $649, and an AMEX $100-off-$500 offer can further reduce the price.
The extra $100 bonus trade-in is tied to the PS5 Pro page and can be intermittent. The higher $200 trade-in amount appears to apply only to the disc version, while the promo has also shown up and disappeared at different times.
Yes, but it has to be activated before checkout and selected through Best Buy's website under other payment options. The promo must also be saved in the PayPal app or website first, or Pay in 4 may not appear.
The PS5 Pro's real-world difference over the PS5 can be barely noticeable for some games, but PSSR can make a noticeable improvement in use. It is also a late-generation upgrade, so value depends on whether you want the extra performance now or would rather wait for future discounts.
Amazon Super Saver shipping can leave the console stuck in shipping limbo, so it is a risky choice if you want predictable delivery. Free shipping or a faster shipping method is the safer option.

I did not see the 20 percent cashack offer from Paypal nor any Amex offers, just used my BB credit card.
