Did you notice that the description shows 16Gb in memory capacity? Saphire editions should all have 32Gb. Unless their information in description is wrong or they might be referring to the other non saphire one.

I bought the Epix Gen 2 (non-Pro) a few months ago and it's great. But worth noting the Epix line is being discontinued, which might mean more limited updates going forward. Likely not a big issue given Garmin's generally limited updates (around two years IIRC).

Got this for I think $379 a couple months ago on closeout. Great watch. I hate yhe white band though and swapped it for a titanium one which actually looks fine with the white casing imo

Looks like it's a typo. When you ask the AI on the bottom it says:
"No, the Garmin epix Pro (Gen 2) you're viewing is the Standard Edition, which features a fiber-reinforced polymer case with metal rear cover, not sapphire crystal."

I wouldn't buy it if you're expecting Sapphire.

Doesn't matter if the line is being discontinued. Garmin doesn't really do software updates for long, as you mentioned.

I would not expect Fenix 7 to get new software for long, even though the Fenix line is not discontinued. And Epix 2 Pro is basically OLED Fenix 7.

It is weird that they state that. All the Epix pro models now come with 32gb of storage. Could be a typo.

You will get updates for years to come. What you won't get a major new features as those will be for the os on the new watches.

It will get software for a years to come. You just won't get all the latest and greatest of new features
