Better choices if you're trying to keep costs down, without sacrificing quality/longevity, are either Powerblocks when on sale multiple times a year, or Eisenlink (a copy of Ironmaster's tested-and-proven adjustable dumbbell design.)
Community Reviews
These CAP ADJUSTABELL dumbbells are a space saving adjustable pair that works well for basic home lifting and supplementing a gym routine. The price landed around $208 to $211 after tax, and the promo code worked with extra savings in some cases. The set has held up fine for months in use, but the plastic adjustment collars and fixed 16 inch length make them awkward for curls, overhead work, and exercises where the dumbbells touch. A solid compact option if you can live with the bulk and slower handling.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, they save space compared with multiple fixed dumbbells. The tradeoff is that they can be harder to use for some movements because of their fixed length and bulky ends.
Reported final totals were about $208 after tax in California and $211.19 after tax. One buyer also combined the deal with an Amex points offer and an extra $15 off.
Yes. The dumbbells are fixed at 16 inches regardless of weight, so curls can feel awkward and the long ends can hit your hips or make exercises that bring the dumbbells together difficult.
They have held up well for some buyers over a few months of use, and one owner says the pair works fine at 55 lb if you are not dropping them. The adjustment collars are plastic, so repeated drops can become a durability issue over time.
A 2-year warranty was purchased by at least one buyer because of a prior bad experience with Bowflex adjustable dumbbells. That makes sense if you want extra protection against the plastic adjustment parts wearing out or breaking.

Did some additional research… their website has this model listed and not the one from OP so it's likely newer

I'm going to go for these, a lot more 💸 but the reviews are amazing for all of their products. Not top-tier, but top quality, and I don't have a lot of space.
Do either of you have experience with the other equipment that they make, like the tower?
