If you already have ultimate now, this converts to only 91 days ultimate. It's a much better deal if you have nothing currently. See link above

Yes. Just add a month of ultimate and it will convert it all to ultimate at a 1:3 ratio or so

Yeah. The 3 month game pass PC codes for $30 are the best bang for your buck without jumping through many hoops or waiting on deals. $15/mo. PayPal right now has 20% cash back on pay in 4 so that's probably the best its going to get at $12/mo

They're still using the "Core" name? Xbox switched to Essential, Premium, and Ultimate ($10, $15, $30). Is this basically Essential now?

Core is minimum needed for MP on paid games. Free to play games don't require game pass for MP.
