then i think if you use bank of america card for 3% back on internet purchases on paypal it would take it down to roughly $620
Community Reviews
The Radster Trail Large stands out as a heavy but polished e bike with strong value at the sale price, especially when the PayPal offer drops it to around $640. It fits riders about 5 foot 7 to 6 foot 4 with a 27 to 35 inch inseam, and the large red frame is the version on sale. The bike is praised for solid components, smooth rides, and easy assembly with good video guidance. Main cautions are its weight, rear hub motor maintenance hassle, final sale status, and ongoing Rad support and battery safety concerns.
Common Questions (6)
There are repeated concerns about Rad Power's future, including shutdown or bankruptcy risk, which could affect support and parts availability. The bike uses many generic components and some riders expect parts or battery rebuild services to remain available, but buying from a brand with uncertain support is still a risk.
You need to click the 20% PayPal offer in your PayPal account before checkout; Best Buy checkout may not show the discount. The reward can appear later as pending points, and the bike has been bought for about $640 after the PayPal savings.
Best Buy was confirmed to provide a 2-year warranty, with repair or replacement options. Rad Power's own support was not covering at least one Best Buy purchase issue, so the practical warranty path is through Best Buy rather than Rad.
Yes. The bike is described as very heavy, around 78 lb, so a sturdy bike stand and a strong bike rack are useful. Rear wheel or tube work can be awkward because the rear motor and derailleur make removal more cumbersome.
The Large Radster Trail is listed for riders about 5'7" to 6'4" with an inseam of 27" to 35". A practical fit check from the thread also suggests it suits riders around 67" to 76" tall.
Yes. The Best Buy listing for this bike was called out as final sale, meaning it cannot be returned under the store policy mentioned in the thread.

This is BS on Rad Power's part. They are probably just really pissed Best Buy sold these at fire sale prices.
Granted this article is from last year, but clearly shows Rad Power partnering with Best Buy.

By all appearances Best Buy is an authorized retailer, meaning they should be honoring their 2-year warranty.
They are not mad at Best Buy clearancing them out for them as Best Buy is helping them get rid of stock before closing up shop by selling the bike under special terms. It was noted that the bike gets no returns which everyone knew equates to no support. You knew risk was involved. You knew that going in why try to play victim?
The glass half full is strong with you my friend. A moment in life when you should be content, happy and maybe even thrilled and grateful you turn sour and whiny.
You could have paid $2,000 - $10,000 and still found there is no perfect or unlimited support.
I'll take it for what you paid for it with the problem if you like. Let me know I can get you contact details.

Just disappointed that tech support was no help. He was telling me to look for a connector on the handlebar area that didn't even exist. There was no connector there. I had to find it myself in the downtube. I asked if I could adjust the brake switch and he said no, I'd have to replace the whole assembly. I said I'd call back if I wanted to buy the part. Easily found good info on YouTube and found the problem to be a missing $5 spring. This is now a TEKTRO problem and not a Rad Power Bike problem. I sent them an email for asking for a replacement spring. I may also go to the local bike shop or hardware store to find a spring.
I knew it said "all sales final & no returns", but I didn't know there wasn't going to be any warranty through Rad Power Bikes. I also knew the risk about the direction the company was headed. I was fine with that because I'm very mechanically inclined and can fix pretty much anything.
Yes, killer deal! I'm so excited to go on adventures with these bikes. I briefly took them around the neighborhood and they're so fun! My daughter has been experiencing many physical and mental issues over the years. She used to love riding her bike, but her physical issues have prevented her from riding. These e-bikes will help her get out in nature again!
UPDATE: I just got off the phone with Best Buy. There is a warranty, but not through Rad Power Bikes. There is a two year warranty through Best Buy. They said they will repair or replace the bike under this warranty. I'm just going to fix it myself because Best Buy is a 90 minute drive for me. Happy biking everyone!

Just saying we have to put things in perspective and it does sound like you have some..
If what BB told you is true that makes me even more envious of those getting in on the deal. I have no idea as to how they are going to do that with Rad going away but maybe they can be of some help
Very happy for you and your daughter. I to love biking as well as I have some age on me. I have been thrilled with my generic china bikes. Did thirty miles a couple weeks back and that is something that would have probably worn me out in my younger days.
If you did get one just look it over and I imagine you will find most components off the shelf and easily replaced. The big stuff like controller battery and hub motor are also somewhat user serviceable but sure not as easy. But If you do have future problems more stuff is popping up on Amazon by the day. Slew of aftermarket batteries, controllers, etc saying compatible with Rad Power.

Anyway, when I purchased, I recall that it showed 17,034 points for both transactions (I should have screen captured it). However, when I checked my PayPal point balance, it was capped at 25,000 for the total for the two transactions. The second transaction was capped 7900 points - net 25,000. Anyone know if the original deal was really capped at 25,000 points? I did get an email that said that they would honor my original rewards, but that the deal was now capped. Does anyone else have the same issue? I complained to PayPal, but really got nowhere.
took them for a ride around my neighborhood, no issues both smooth rides got up to 25mph. very happy with them for the price or 600-700 after paypal savings.
heavy as hell. i still need to buy a good bike rack that can hold them so we can take them with us this spring/summer.
