Wish thunderbolts was on saleBut DVDs have gotten pricey
With less people buying physical copies, they manufacture less and need to make more per. Supply and demand. It was funnny when DVDs first came out, they cost less to manufacture yet were priced higher than VHS tapes.

Very good point. But It sucks because I always prefer a physical copy.

Being a person that watch movies only 1 time, even really good ones like Interstellar, I feel like owning a DVD is kinda wasteful since it'll just get neglected on the bookshelf. I'd only watch something again if I wanted to share it's goodness with a loved one, in which case, I'll just borrow it from the library.

It's different if you have kids. They will watch the same thing over and over again. I usually rip it and upload it to my plex server.

Yeah but what if the library is not open that day?
It's nice to just have it on hand when the need arises.
Probably. The continued fight of "owning digital content vs limited licensing" continues to drive physical media upwards
yeah, and I'm still buying more physical content. Especially TV shows. No more chasing to find where it's streaming this year and have to write down where I left off. Just pop in a disk and watch with no commercials.
And with movies there is no comparison to the sound on the physical disks compared to streaming. Watched T2 last night, and streaming also for a few minutes afterwards to compare. wow, streaming sucks expect for just casual watching.
I'm hoping actual black friday has some better deals, or ebay it is for me.
