That's very true. The original lenses is already optically excellent. The new one just shaves off some weight and has a faster focus, making it better as a video lenses.

The best lenses but heavy for carrying around. Super clear so long as you make sure your shuttle minimum is set to avoid hand shakes. I have to set mine at 1/160 because my hands are not very steady.
