so i got this suitcase. the pull out handle is two pieces and wobbles like crazy. there is no way it can survive 20 years. the body feels fragile somehow. the case handle is some kind of rubber. what happens to rubber over time is it just disintegrates even if you don't use it. oh well i just accepted how shitty this suitcase was because i got so tired of hunting for the right one. i got this for like 60, whatever, i'll replace it later. it's not worth the emotional turmoil. i would say that the true worth of this suitcase is probably when it is on sale and not when it's full price. so you're not in fact getting a great deal on a high quality reputable brand suitcase. you're getting a cheap ass walmart quality suitcase.

Look for PC construction, double wheels (look for Hinomoto), recessed wheels (more durable and more space), quality zippers (look for YKK), retractable grab handles that stay flush to the body when not in use (breaks off less often), and a telescoping handle that has minimal wobble (better construction).
Finally, as the dad that lugs all the luggage around, I look for a fixed grab handle at the bottom of the suit case. Might not be a big deal with a 15lb bag, but 50lbs up a flight of stairs, its a god send!
