AirPods Pro 3 stand out for tighter integration with iPhone, improved fit, and stronger battery life, with ANC that feels a bit better than Pro 2. The ear tips can feel stiff at first, but they break in over a couple of weeks and become more secure and comfortable. Sound quality draws the most criticism, with some calling it average or bass light, while others say it sounds great after software updates. The main takeaway is that the upgrade feels most worthwhile for fit, battery, and Apple ecosystem convenience rather than a huge audio leap.

  • Best Buy shoppers can stack PayPal Pay in 4 with a saved 20% cash-back offer for additional savings.

  • AirPods Pro 3 fit can improve after a couple weeks of break-in, making the foam and silicone tips feel more secure.

    DrGordonFreeman

  • AirPods Pro 3 can deliver better travel-friendly battery life than AirPods Pro 2 while keeping ANC performance close.

    amatot

  • AirPods Pro 3 can sound great for daily work and office use after software updates.

    freesole

  • Best Buy trade-in handling can be restrictive, since the system may block in-store exchanges and a missing charging cable can complicate the process.

    amatotamatot

  • AirPods Pro 3 sound quality can feel average, with stiff ear tips that may be uncomfortable enough to trigger a return.

    ZepLed

  • AirPods Pro 3 may not be a worthwhile upgrade from Pro 2, especially when trade-in offers land around $100 and regret follows a full-price launch purchase.

    tricks

  • Live translation features can be limited to a few languages and require newer iPhone hardware, which can make Pro 3 features unusable for some buyers.

I've had all 3 gens - not worth it if you have the 2's. Mad I bought them at launch full price. Thought I'd be able to sell my brand new, just replaced under warranty and never used 2's for like $200 but haven't yet just got an offer for $100.

Probably will eat the loss but honestly not worth even $100-$200 upgrade or difference if it were me I would go buy the 2's that were just on sale in a different thread.
Pro 2s are still on sale at Walmart. Only shipping though. I ordered mine yesterday and received it today. Can't beat $150 (including tax).

Average compared to what? I do agree about the tips being a bit stiff but it makes sense to give them a bit of time to break in or just get some foam tips (which I prefer anyway).
Soundcore Liberty 4nc and my coworkers AirPod 4s. The soundcore blew them out of the water. They were on par with the 4s just had better anc. There's like no bass and all treble. I even tried to EQ it a little and I just couldn't believe how average the sound was. They are amazing for the apple ecosystem but this being my first AirPods in 5 years I'm really shocked people settle for such subpar sound. Just my opinion.

You could say that about most apple products that are underwhelming but because of the fan base get sales.

I just got these and the sound is so average. The ear tips are so stiff and uncomfortable. Returning them tomorrow
The ear tips take time to break in because they are a foam and silicone mix.

I came from the 2's and initially hated the fit of the new ones, but after a couple weeks of use I've done a 180. They feel way better now and feel secure in the ears and comfortable.

Is anyone still able to get the Pay in 4 deal? I was able to purchase something off WM literally 30 min prior, but now I am not seeing that option.

That's interesting. Mine aren't lacking bass at all when the tips fit right. I was actually surprised at the amount of bass. The soundcores look interesting though! I used to have a set of over ears from them and they were fantastic.

Just as a reference - I had a few issues with my APP3 (crackling etc...) since I hadn't gotten AC+ I decided to go the local BB to have them exchanged. System would not let them exchange but only do a full refund (I believe because of the PayPal method of payment) Sucks since I have already used up my 250$ cash back limit - now not sure if I want to try another pay in 4 to see if i get the 20% back again,
Also my APP1 trade in is still on the way to BB lol. Looks like the deal didnt work out as smoothly as I wanted. May wait a few days to see If Costco will come down a little on the 250$ included AC+

If you have Capital One, you may also get a $45/75 'bonus' + 22-30% 'cashback' as well through their Capital One Shopping. All said and done, got back $141 in 'value'.

Not a terrible deal if you don't want Apple care. Costco has it for $250 with 2 years of Apple care included.

Have the Sound Liberty 4 pro. Great sounding and the ANC is great to. But I noticed a crackling sound recently in the left earbud that just got worse. Emailed Soundcore C/S and they made me go through all these steps to try an resolve it and in the end they refused to replace the earbud. So I'm off Soundcore.

Can you elaborate on what this is? I don't see this offer on my C1 VX card.
